If there is one thing that many of us agree, it was the pleasant surprise we got when the first Purge movie was released in 2013, a movie that represented the idea of being able to take out all our anger once, one year for only 12 hours, we would become a society without rules in which murder, kidnapping, rape or any infamy would be totally allowed for a period of time. However, this new installment comes to break one of the most common rules: The duration of the Purge.

This film, like the previous ones, was written by James DeMonaco and its premiere was scheduled for 2020, however due to the health crisis generated by covid 19 worldwide, its premiere was postponed in theaters until this year. The film finally premiered and achieved a medium approval with mixed positive and negative reviews.

The Forever Purge presents us with a somewhat different situation from the other films since it is no longer a dispute between the poor and the rich, more likely between the United States and Migrants, in this story we move to the Mexico Border where a group of illegal migrants manage to cross the border with the United States illegally, even so, they manage to find work and after a few months the annual purification was carried out, so all migrants paid to be protected in some areas of the country , but what they didn´t count on is that a big radical group would be formed that will impose a lasting and eternal purge in which our protagonists will have to escape and leave behind the long-awaited American dream that became an American nightmare.

Our protagonists will have no other option than to return to their country and a group of people from America that was similarly affected by this situation won´t have any other choice but to migrate to the country to be safe from this insurgent group.

With this new release, it will be given a fresh air to the franchise by changing its most important rule, The duration of only 12 hours becomes indefinite in an unofficial way, generating chaos in all United States, in many countries there is a plan to welcome everyone who flees the United States as well. Although there is not a significant development from each of the characters, these are charismatic enough to make the film works, in regards to the action and suspense, this movie maximizes everything even more, always keeping us in tension for what could happen.
