A contest allows you to create movement on Steemit. This is great for everyone, for you, for other users, and for the platform itself.

In a contest, you'll meet other people's reality, likes, dislikes, you'll make friends, contacts, and you'll begin creating your own network on Steemit, which is very important because is like your family here.

Organizing your contest

What and where?

---

• First of all, pick a topic that you like and that you believe it's going to call the attention of other steemians.

• Then look for the community wherein you can share it. This could be also the first step if you have some favourite communities and you feel comfortable with moderators and administrators.

• Try to contact administrators or moderator on Steemit or on Discord, and explain your idea, it's probably that they agree for you to share the contest with some rules as for example tag them or use some tags that help the community grown.

Great!! Now you've completed the formal step. Let's go with the fun part

How to?

Your contest is your creation, your imagination and creativity flying and looking for others to read it and want to write about it, so, my first advice is:

• Be honest and be you

What's this about?!

Well... if you love a topic, let people know that you love it! Use your own words, be simple, act normal showing who you are, and at the same time explain the goal of your contest.

Then... just write this:

• A simple introduction
• Date of ending of the contest (with day and time)
• Rules (what are you gonna have into account to approve the entries). Remember that the #steemit platform has its own rules, and it's extremely important that your contest keep the coherence with that.
• Prizes. They can be what you want and can. If you have the support of some strong account, well, that's great, you have more to offer. But if you only have your earnings for this... again... be honest and tell your steemians: look, I don't have a lot to offer, I have this, but I really wanna do this contest for all of us. And offer what you can.

During the contest

There are hard days, my friend! Some days are full of entries, and you have to read all of them. If you are working in a team, you can rotate this task if you are very busy, but if not, it's your responsibility to read, and answer something to the person that took her or his time, and write for your contest. It shows respect, engagement and commitment from you, who are the organizer.

• Read the entries
• Answer to the participants

Some tip

Something that I love to do is a list with the entries and the characteristics of them: this is great because..., this has to win because. So at the end of the contest, I have a list with my own appreciations, and it's easy fr me to be objective and fair to chose the winners.

• Write the winners post
• Transfer the prizes
• Posting the winners

You can do it in another order, but these acts have to be almost together.

En un concurso conocerás la realidad, los gustos y lo que no le gusta a otras personas, harás amigos, contactos y comenzarás a crear tu propia red en Steemit, lo cual es muy importante porque aquí es como tu familia.

¿Qué y dónde?

• En primer lugar, elige un tema que te guste y que creas que llamará la atención de otros steemians.

• Luego busca la comunidad en la que puedas compartirlo. Este también podría ser el primer paso si tienes algunas comunidades favoritas y te sientes cómodo con los moderadores y administradores.

• Intenta contactar con administradores o moderadores en Steemit o en Discord, y explica tu idea, es probable que estén de acuerdo en que compartas el concurso con algunas reglas como por ejemplo etiquetarlos o usar algunas etiquetas que ayuden a la comunidad a crecer.

¿Cómo?

Tu concurso es tu creación, tu imaginación y creatividad volando, y buscando que otros lo lean y quieran escribir sobre eso, así que mi primer consejo es:

• Sé honesto y sé vos

¡¿De qué se trata esto?!

Bueno ... si te encanta un tema, ¡hazle saber a la gente que te encanta! Usa tus propias palabras, sé simple, actúa normalmente mostrando quién sos vos y al mismo tiempo explica el objetivo de tu concurso.

Entonces... solo escribe esto:

• Una simple introducción
• Fecha de finalización del concurso (con día y hora)
• Reglas (qué vas a tener en cuenta para aprobar las entradas). Recuerda que la plataforma #steemit tiene sus propias reglas, y es extremadamente importante que tu concurso mantenga la coherencia con eso.
• Premios. Pueden ser lo que quieras y puedas. Si tienes el apoyo de una cuenta sólida, bueno, eso es genial, tienes más que ofrecer. Pero si solo tienes tus ganancias, otra vez... sé honesto y diles a tus steemians: mira, no tengo mucho que ofrecer, tengo esto, pero realmente quiero hacer este concurso para todos nosotros. Y ofrece lo que puedas.

Durante el concurso

¡Hay días difíciles, amigos míos! Algunos días están llenos de entradas y hay que leerlas todas. Si estás trabajando en equipo, puedes rotar esta tarea si estás muy ocupado u ocupada, pero si no, es tu responsabilidad leer y responder algo a la persona que se tomó su tiempo y escribir para tu concurso. Demuestra respeto y compromiso de tu parte, que eres el organizador.

Una vez que hayan pasado los días y el concurso haya finalizado, debes:

• Escribir la publicación de los ganadores
• Transferir los premios
• Publicar los ganadores

Puedes hacerlo en otro orden, pero estos actos tienen que ser casi juntos.
