There are different factors that affect how your performance will be on the platform. Some are external and you cannot influence them and others depend exclusively on you. Let's see what this is about.

Among the external factors, which you cannot control, there's a fundamental one, and that's how the market is at the moment. When I say at this moment I don't mean these days, but I mean this moment, since as we have seen, prices go up and down, and although different time scales can be detected, the vote you receive today may differ significantly the one you receive tomorrow.

Another external factor is the vote, which you cannot influence directly. You can take care of creating good content, but there is no guarantee of a vote, so you may get it, but if that doesn't happen, then you will simply have to wait to see if there is another vote.

Before these two points that I have touched, you can respond with actions that do depend exclusively on you, and that lead you to be a steemian of a different nature. Below I will directly describe the types of steemian, since each one presents different behaviors, which are precisely what does depend on them to present a better or worse performance.

Persistent Steemian

He is the person who is committed to the platform, through thick and thin. These people will continuously carry out their work as bloggers, community administrators and other activities that they carry out. They know that sometimes there can be better votes than other times, but they bet on Steemit because they are sure of the strength of the platform (and Steem) today and in the future.

They care about their individual growth, but at the same time they
are looking for a way to grow the entire Steemit community and other users, because they feel they belong to this ecosystem.

They continually power up or conserve much of their SP.

This steemian only thinks about herself or himself. It has a great commitment to the platform, but it's driven more by how much profits can obtain, than by the contribution he or she can make. Their posts will be aimed at getting high votes and then removing even the SP generated.

It' the steemian who, after little effort, aims to get big votes. They are often new users who leave their complaints in comments, on Discord and even on other platforms, crossing different privacy limits, and expressing their dissatisfaction with their lack of vote and / or comment.

There is no commitment to Steemit or other users, and they are usually people who, after seeing the work and effort involved in positioning themselves on the platform, leave this ecosystem.

There is no clear commitment neither with Steemit, nor with other users, nor with he or she. Generally they are people who at some point obtained a certain profit, and after going through a crisis situation, they gave up and withdrew. They come back when the market is booming again, looking for votes and profits, but again they fold after not getting votes or seeing prices go down again.

They are quickly demotivated and their lack of persistence means that their accounts never reach a prominent position.

If you don't have a commitment to Steemit, your account will never be close to the first places because for this you need to have a large amount of SP. So you have to think about your earnings, of course, but also about how you are contributing to this ecosystem.

It should be clarified that perhaps at some point we all show some trait of the different types of Steemians, but it's our main attitude and the one that is repeated the most, the one that defines us as one or the other.

Qué tipo de steemian eres?

Si ya llevas un tiempo por aquí, te habrás dado cuenta de esto, y si sos nuev@, pronto lo harás: Steemit es un ecosistema fluctuante.

Hay diferentes factores que inciden en cómo será tu rendimiento en la plataforma. Algunos son externos y no puedes influir en ellos y otros dependen exclusivamente de vos. Veamos de qué se trata esto.

Entre los factores externos, que no puedes controlar, hay uno fundamental, y es cómo está el mercado en este momento. Cuando digo en este momento no me refiero a estos días, sino que me refiero a este instante, ya que como habremos visto, los precios suben y bajan, y aunque se pueden detectar diferentes escalas temporales, el voto que recibas hoy, puede discrepar notablemente del que recibas mañana.

Otro factor externo es el voto, en el cual no podés influir de manera directa. Podés encargarte de crear buen contenido, pero no hay garantía de voto, por lo que quizás lo obtengas, pero si eso no ocurre, pues simplemente quedará esperar para ver si hay otro voto.

Ante estos dos puntos que he tocado, vos podés responder con acciones que sí dependen exclusivamente de vos, y que te conducen a ser un steemian de diferente naturaleza. A continuación describiré directamente los tipos de steemian, ya que cada uno presenta diferentes conductas, que son justamente lo que sí depende de ellos para presentar un mejor o peor rendimiento.

Steemian persistente

Es la persona que está comprometida con la plataforma, en las buenas y en las malas. Estas personas realizarán de manera continua con su labor como blogeros, administradores de comunidades y otras actividades que lleven a cabo. Saben que a veces pueden haber mejores votos que otras veces, pero apuestan por Steemit porque están seguros de la fuerza de la plataforma (y del Steem) hoy y a futuro.

Se preocupan de su crecimiento individual, pero al mismo tiempo están buscando la manera de hacer crecer a toda la comunidad de Steemit y a otroa usuarios, porque se sienten pertenecientes a este ecosistema.

Continuamente hacen power up o conservan buena parte de su SP.

Steemian especulativo

Este steemian solo piensa en sí mismo. Tiene un gran compromiso con la plataforma, pero se mueve más por cuánto rendimiento pueda obtener, que por el aporte que pueda hacer. Sus publicaciones estarán orientadas a obtener altos votos para luego retirar incluso el SP generado.

No hay compromiso con la plataforma en sí, ni con otros usuarios.

Steemian quejoso

---

Es el steemian que tras poco esfuerzo, pretede obtener grandes votos. A menudo son nuevos usuarios que dejan sus quejas en comentarios, en Discord e incluso en otras plataformas, cruzando diferentes límites de privacidad, y manifestando su descontento con su falta de voto y/ o comentario.

No hay compromiso con Steemit ni con otros usuarios, y por lo general son personas que tras ver el trabajo y esfuerzo que implica posicionarse en la plataforma, abandonan este ecosistema.

Steemian intermitente

No hay un compromiso claro ni con Steemit, ni con otros usuarios, ni con el mismo. Generalmente son personas que en algún momento obtuvieron cierto rendimiento, y tras atravesar una situación de crisis, desistieron y se retiraron. Vuelven cuando el mercado está otra vez en auge, buscando votos y ganancias, pero nuevamente se retiran tras no conseguir votos o ver que los precios bajan otra vez.

Se desmotivan rápidamente y su falta de persistencia hace que sus cuentas jamás alcancen una posición destacada.

Como podrás ver, la conducta que tomes, repercutirá en el tipo de bloguero que eres, y eso posicionará a tu cuenta más arriba o más abajo de la lista. Si no tienes compromiso con Steemit, tu cuenta nunca llegará a estar cerca de los primeros lugares porque para ello necesitas tener una gran cantidad de SP. Por lo que tienes que pensar en tus ganancias, claro, pero también en cómo estás aportando a este ecosistema.

Cabe aclarar que quizás en algún momento todos mostramos algún rasgo de los diferentes tipos de Steemians, pero es nuestra actitud principal y la que más se repite, la que nos define como uno u otro.
