[PART 1] - Bleach (2018 Film, Japan)

Today we'll be talking about a fantasy action film called Bleach. Somewhere in the countryside of Japan, Ichigo Kurosaki is walking home with his mother on a rainy day. The boy sees a young girl in white dress standing on the edge of the river and wonders why she's there by herself. Ichigo Kurosaki was to offer the girl help while the boy's mother chases him closely behind telling him to stop. Suddenly the girl turns around and causes him to do things. When the boy wakes up, his mother is mortally wounded after trying to protect him from the girl who turns out to be a vengeful spirit.

Many years later Ichigo has grown up to be a young man and he's now used to the ability of seeing spirits wherever he goes and even tries to help them whenever he can. He goes home that night after school and notices a strange woman standing in the room as well. It turns out that she's Rukia and the woman's equally surprised that he consents to her presence. Their conversation is interrupted when the Soul Reaper feels an evil presence caused by causing Ichigo to run downstairs to his family, only to see her sister hiding in the corner after hearing a scary voice. Suddenly, an explosion breaks the walls and a giant hearing grabs onto the girl taking her away right in front of the main character. Ichigo Kurosaki rushes outside immediately to save his sister only to see a large monster standing in front of him. Rukia charges in and slashes the creature forcing it to drop the girl on top of each other. The woman explains that the monster is an evil spirit known as a hollow and it was attracted by Ichigo Kurosaki’s unusually high spiritual powers.

Before they can finish talking, the creature attacks Rukia by launching a spread while she blocks the monster and barely knocks it back each time. She tries to launch her own attacks but it's quickly captured by the hollow as he charges up a large amount of energy in itself. Luckily, Rukia is able to break free using her spells and knocks the monster flying in the air while she drops onto a car. Ichigo Kurosaki runs towards the Soul Reaper and realises that she sadly heard from the previous fights. Rukia tells the man that she has to transfer her powers to him by stabbing him so that he may fight the monster and save their souls. Seeing that the creature has recovered so quickly from the attack. The man had no choice but to accept her offer as she started using the sword. The Hollow charges forward to attack and a shadow smashes the monster. It turns out that Ichigo Kurosaki has successfully gained the powers of the Soul Reaper.

As he cuts off the spirits in a single strike, the monster charges in furiously but Ichigo Kurosaki is able to smash the hollow right in the middle splitting the creature in half as a benefit from the human world. Ichigo wakes up the next day thinking that it was all a dream but it's quickly brought back to reality after seeing a large hole on the walls. Surprisingly, his family seems to have lost all their memories of the previous stage. He thinks that it was a truck that broke in the wall. He then goes to school like usual and after seeing his friends in the classroom, he gets shocked to see Rukia walk in as well pretending to be a new student. The girl went to Ichigo Kurosaki right away and told him to not say a word threatening to kill him if he does. Rukia explains that she can't go back to her dimension known as the sole society because she accidentally gave all her powers to Ichigo Kurosaki. She needs to get them back right away where else she won't be able to fight any hollows and be trapped here forever. Rukia puts on a special tour and charges towards Ichigo Kurosaki pushing his soul out of his body and grabs onto the man Stein's sword telling him to stab it into her body so that he can release all his power into her once again.

Unfortunately, the ritual didn't work as his energy level is apparently very important right now. The only way they can successfully transfer the power is if the main character got stronger through training, where else his body will not survive the process. Ichigo Kurosaki is not very fond of this idea as he only wants to go back to his normal life. He returns home later that day only to find that Rukia is hiding inside his closet. She has nowhere to go. Ichigo tells her to get out right away, but she refuses telling the man to accept his fate. That argument is interrupted by Ichigo Kurosaki's father who barges in after hearing a woman's voice. He knocks the sign away and opens the closet doors only to see that it's empty inside and the father tells Ichigo Kurosaki to not bring any girls home and warns him about the child support that he will have to pay.
