Hi dear friends!!!
The "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" franchise is set to make a comeback. After premiering in 2000, the "original" series expanded into a universe that went where no one thought possible: "CSI: Miami", "CSI: NY", "CSI: Cyber" and even a TV movie that marked the end in 2016. Now, it's the turn of "CSI: Vegas" to go to bat and try its luck.
It's no secret that the "CSI" franchise was a smash hit that spanned 16 years of production, multiple casts, crossovers and even became part of popular culture. CBS is ready to premiere a new season, after five years of "furlough".
As part of the cast, "CSI" has featured a number of very big stars such as Laurence Fishburne, Ted Danson, David Caruso, Gary Sinise and Patricia Arquette. As for "CSI: Vegas," the faces are more than familiar, as William Petersen and Jorja Fox are set to return to their roles as Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle.
The pair will be joined by Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez and Mandeep Dhillon. Reports also reveal that Wallace Langham, another veteran of the franchise, will return for his role as David Hodges. The new series is expected to showcase some of the new technologies for the area of criminology. So it is exciting.
CBS has yet to announce the ideal timing for the new season. Most likely, "CSI" will return to the same prime time as when it was on the air five years ago.
