Hello steemians welcome once again to my blog I'm really delighted to write about my cutest Christmas memories of all time. Before I proceed let me talk more about Christmas and the history in a fantastic fashion. This contest is basically organized by @fendit and all the rest i'm quite glad to write in this community.
Christmas, Christian festival celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. The English term Christmas (“mass on Christ’s day”) is of fairly recent origin. The earlier term Yule may have derived from the Germanic jōl or the Anglo-Saxon geōl, which referred to the feast of the winter solstice. For the Christian history.
The corresponding terms in other languages—Navidad in Spanish, Natale in Italian, Noël in French—all probably denote nativity. In all ramification, The German word Weihnachten denotes “hallowed night.” Since the early 20th century, Christmas has also been a secular family holiday, observed by Christians and non-Christians alike, devoid of Christian elements,
and marked by an increasingly elaborate exchange of gifts. In this secular Christmas celebration, a mythical figure named Santa Claus plays the pivotal role. Christmas is celebrated on Friday, December
My cutest Christmas memories never to forget
My name is #kingcent from Nigeris Rivers state to be precise, and i'm from #Emohua local government area my best Christmas came last year as an adult, in my community #Rumuji we have so many ethnic, norms and tradition all over. One of the best tradition is the dancing of #Ekpo,
Ekpo is a traditional masqurade that is brought up every 25th, December of each year, it's really a very interesting tradition to be precise.
Some many people all around the world leaving all of the world do return back to the community just to take part in the the traditional dancing of #Ekpo it's currently the best tradition in Rivers state, and one of the best in #Nigeria per say.
But we still got some Christians too who despite everything goes to church that day as well, but they are indeed very few. People dancing the Ekpo surpass individuals going to church you reading this post I guess it won't be a suprise to you.
In less than a week we shall be experiencing another Christmas let me use this medium to wish everyone reading this post a happy Christmas in advance. As an adult last year Christmas was the best as far as I'm concern I also suggest that this year own will be the worst courtesy of the outbreak of the corona virus pandemic. There will be so many preventive measures but in place I wonder if people will stick to it. This is nigeria everything is possible, the covid19 pandemic has really changed everything our ways of doing things etc just numerous to mention.
My parents are Christians they hate participating in worldly things, but I my self is the direct opposite I love my culture. My culture is my tradition and my tradition is the best, yes you heard me right
Each time I remember last year Christmas I smile and indeed it gives me massive joy, I spent my own Christmas with my family and friends in the village to be precise in gives me joy seen my mom cooking #rice and drew really sweet I must say.
