Buenas Noches everyone! How are you all doing? I know you are all fine.
I'm just new in this community, please allow me to introduce myself here. I am MARNIE M. CUYAG , a Public Junior Highschool teacher in one of the prestigious school here in Cebu, Philippines handling Grade 9 Mathematics.
My Journey as a Teacher
In the year 2010, I graduated my Bachelor's Degree at Cebu Normal University-my Dream School since I was a kid.
After I graduated my tertiary level, being an ate (big sister since I am the eldest from my 6 siblings) I need not to rest and chill for a moment. But, I need to find a job right away in order for me to help my parents in providing the needs of my family. I became the breadwinner of our family since my parents just sell seafoods in the market and in that time they just have a very low income per day. And sometimes their income is just intended for their debt. So, I need not to relax but instead I need to find job urgently.
Fortunately, I was hired as a classroom teacher in one of the private school here in Philippines. But I just served for just a year because of some circumstances we can't stop. They let me pass a resignation letter because we are not in the same religion and its against their handbook. Its hard to accept but I need to respect their decision.
I just surrendered everything to God that time, so I just put in my mind that everything has a purpose.
Luckily, after a couple of years, I was hired as a Public School teacher. I can still remember the feelings I felt that time upon hearing that I got hired in a public school I was applying for, which happens to be ALMA MATTER. My family is also happy, at last after all the struggles I encounter I was already a public school teacher which most all of the education students wish for.
And now I am already in my 8 years of service. The feeling is so unfathomable because from thousands of applicants applying, I was one of the blessed applicants who made it after 2 tries. The lesson I learned from this situation is we should never give up even if how hard it is because at the end of the day God is going to give what our heart desires... Laban lng!
Me as a MOTHER</center
I am also a mother of one cutie princess. That picture as you can see there is a banner which says "Welcome Home Daddy" since my husband is an OFW at Japan working as a Dye Cast. And its their first meet up. At first, my baby feels so awkward and shy but after a couple of months they were very close already and slowly she became a Daddy's girl.
That's it! I hope you enjoy reading. And I just want to express my gratitude to this community @writingnreviews for this new experience and for accepting me as well as big thanks to the curators @steemcurator01, @steemcurator02, @steemcurator06, @fendit, @belenguerra, and @booming01 accounts for the never ending support.
