Hello good people !
I am a biology teacher in a high school in Indonesia, my days teaching students about various kinds of biology. Well, this time I will discuss about health here, I hope all friends like it.

PLANCENTAL ABRUPTION
What is placental abruption?

Placental abruption is the premature detachment of the placenta. This is a rare but serious complication of pregnancy. The placenta provides nutrition to the baby during pregnancy. In abruption, the placenta separates from the inner wall of the uterus before birth. Placental abruption can be divided into 3 arenas, I, II, and III, from mild to severe.

How common is placental abruption?

Placental abruption is rare but very serious. Pregnant women are more at risk during the third trimester, but this can happen after the 20th week. Only about 1% of all pregnant women experience placental abruption. Consult your doctor for more information.

Signs and symptoms

What are the signs and symptoms of abruption placentae?

Symptoms that often occur in an abruption placenta are:

Uterine bleeding, abnormal uterine contractions, and fetal distress that can be checked from the fetal heart rate

Very painful uterine contractions

Weakness, low blood. Pressure, fast heart rate, abdominal pain, and back pain

In addition, the presenting symptoms may differ depending on the severity of placental abruption (areas I, II, and III):

Arena I: light vaginal bleeding, mild uterine contractions, stable imperative signs, and steady fetal heart rate. Ordinary blood clotting time

Arena II: moderate bleeding, abnormal contractions, low blood pressure, fetal distress, and abnormalities in blood clotting

Arena III: this arena is the heaviest arena; symptoms include heavy bleeding and contractions, low blood pressure, fetal death, and difficulty clotting blood.

There may be signs and symptoms not listed above. If you have a particular symptom, consult your doctor.

When should I see a doctor?

You should contact your doctor if you experience any of the following symptoms:

  1. aginal bleeding

  2. Stomach pain

Back pain

Constant feeling of tension in the uterus

If you have the above signs or symptoms or any questions, please consult your doctor. Everyone's body is different. Always consult a doctor to treat your health condition.

Reason

What causes of placentae?

The exact cause of abruption placentae is not clearly known, but it is not a hereditary condition.

Injury during can cause abruption of placentae:

Direct injury to the abdominal area (due to a fall, car accident, hit or fall while working)

As a result of a needle-stick wound in the placenta in the wrong place, bleeding, hematoma form after peeling off each other.

If external cephalic tips from obstetricians and health workers are not appropriate, this also causes the risk of abruption of placentae.

Risk factors

What increases my risk for abruption placentae?

There are many risk factors for placental abruption, namely:

History of abruption placentae: If you have had abruption placentae in a previous pregnancy, you are at risk for experiencing abruption placentae in future pregnancies.

High blood pressure: High blood pressure increases the risk of placental abruption in women.

Abdominal injury: a blow to your abdomen (an accident) increases the risk of abruption of placentae.

Drug abuse: Placental abruption is more likely if you smoke or take cocaine during pregnancy.

Premature rupture of the amniotic sac: During pregnancy, the fetus is surrounded by a protective layer called the amniotic sac. The risk of abruption placentae increases if the amniotic sac ruptures before delivery.

Blood clotting disorders: Any condition that affects blood clotting increases the risk of abruption placentae

Multiple pregnancies: If you have twins or triplets, the first birth may result in changes to the uterus, causing abruption of placentae before the birth of the second baby.

Your age: Placental abruption is more common in older women, especially over 40 years old.

Treatment

The information provided is not a substitute for medical advice. ALWAYS consult your doctor.

What are my treatment options for abruption placentae?

Therapy is given in the hospital. The medical team, namely doctors and nurses, will stabilize your condition first. You will receive fluids and injections to stabilize your blood pressure and maintain the amount of urine you pass. In emergency cases, the doctor will perform a cesarean section or a blood transfusion. The most full-term babies have different statuses to be born normally, but they need a pediatrician.

What are the usual tests for placental abruption?

Placental abruption can be diagnosed in several ways:

Health history check

Physical examination

Blood tests and other laboratory tests

Home remedies

What are some lifestyle changes or home remedies that can be used to treat abruption placentae?

Here are lifestyle and home remedies that can help you cope:

Perform routine pregnancy control checks to detect placental abruption to receive immediate treatment at the hospital.

Treatment for diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure to lower the risk of abruption placentae.

Very educative and informative.

I really like how you gave a detailed explanation about Placental Abruption.

Well written bro 💯

Sorry @crymi , may I ask? How to become a delegate or be verified in this community ?

  ·  3 years ago (edited)

@putriretnojunia
To become a verified member. You just need to visit one of the community pinned post about user verification and follow the instructions stated there. Which is a picture of you hold a paper written with your username, date you took the picture and the community name.

And to be a delegator, the community has a pinned post on how to delegate SP to support the community.

If you still find it difficult to get set up. Let me know.

Thank you.

Hi @crymi! I`m here to help :) If you want to delegate, please make a comment (for example replay to this one) like this:
I want to delegate X sp to @user
Where X is the amount of SP and @user is the steem user you want to delegate to. For example:
I want to delegate 100 sp to @putriretnojunia
@tipU will answer with a delegation link. Hope this helps!:)
