Un saludo fraterno a toda la comunidad steemiana, luego de un retiro de esta plataforma por causas de fuerza mayor reinicio formalmente actividades trayendo para ustedes una revisión reflexiva de la película Raya y el Último Dragón la cual he disfrutado con mis sobrinos en muchas ocasiones y me parece que trae un valioso mensaje que vale la pena compartir e incluso debatir, sobre todo con los que ya han tenido la oportunidad de esta extraordinaria producción cinematográfica. Para hacer más cómodo a la audiencia la lectura de este post he decidido dividirlo en dos partes: Sinopsis y Reflexiones.

To make reading this post more comfortable for the audience, I have decided to divide it into two parts: Synopsis and Reflections.

Sinopsis || Synopsis

La película inicia con Raya (Kelly Marie Tran) narrando la historia antigua de lo que una vez fue Kumandra, una tierra próspera en la que convivían armónicamente humanos y Dragones, hasta que un oscuro día aparecen los Druun y casi acaban con toda la población convirtiéndolos en piedra y multiplicándose como una plaga, incluso a pesar de una feroz lucha de los dragones en defensa de la humanidad también sucumbieron ante esta amenaza hasta que la última dragona Sisudatu (Awkwafina) creó un gema de luz con la que logra desterrar a los devoradores de vida y regresar a la humanidad a su estado original, sin embargo, los dragones no fueron restaurados y Sisu desapareció tras el vencimiento de los Druuns.

Esta lamentable pugna dividió a Kumandra en 5 territorios nombrados de acuerdo a las partes del dragón: Cola, Garra, Columna, Corazón y Colmillo, quedando la gema oculta en posesión de la tierra de Corazón. Luego de 500 años el actual jefe de la tribu de Corazón, Benja (Daniel Dae Kim) entrena a su hija Raya como la nueva protectora de la Gema del Dragón y de igual manera trata de fomentarle su deseo de restaurar a la antigua Kumandra. Raya demuestra sus habilidades como una feroz y astuta guerrera, sin embargo, se muestra esceptica ante el idealismo de su padre.

Benja realizes that only Raya can be saved from her and before throwing her into the river under the bridge, he entrusts her with her mission as guardian of the gem, reminding her not to lose trust in humanity.

Al entregarle a Sisu el trozo de gema que poseía esta hizo que la dragona recibiera una porción de magia que no era suya sino de uno de sus hermanos.

Esta película siento que la vi en el momento justo, su historia no es más de los mismo, es una epopeya centrada en la búsqueda de una hija por recuperar a su padre y lo hará tratando se seguir sus enseñanzas y comprendiendo en el camino otras que no tenía muy claras en el inicio. El valor resaltante que activa la esperanza y la posibilidad de logro es sin duda la confianza y sobre este aspecto, llama mucho la atención la elección de los guinistas, es como si quisieran representar nuestro planeta en la bien elegida metáfora de Kumandra. Sin embargo, el público inmediato y más directo son los niños, aunque muchos adultos la disfrutamos y reflexionamos sobre ella, es como si se estuviera preparando a los futuros adultos con un ideal de unidad planetaria poniendo la confianza y la buena fe como centro.

However, the immediate and most direct audience is children, although many adults enjoy it and reflect on it, it is as if future adults are being prepared with an ideal of planetary unity, placing trust and good faith at the center.
