Entertainment Blog #3 - The Vampire Diaries [2009-2017]

Vampire Stories are interesting. You know, Vampire boys are handsome and Vampire girls are hot😅😅.And the storyline is more romantic than others. So, The Vampire Diaries is no exception.

The Vampire Diaries aired for 8 Years, 2009 to 2017 with 8 seasons and 171 Episodes. The story starts with the arrival of two Brothers into the beautiful City, Mystic Falls.

Actually they are Vampires. And they are seeking their Love from the past. Ahh.. Past means.. like 145 years 😅…. You know, Vampires won't die in natural causes 😅. And these brothers find a Girl who Just Like the Girl From The Past. Coincidence Right?? Actually not. I know because I watched all😎.

Now, Let's take a look at Main Characters..

Damon Salvatore and Stefan Salvatore

The Vampire Brothers.. searching their long lost love.. Actually That's the Vampire who turned these boys into vampires. Damon is more Impulsive while Stefan is more Calm. But both of them has a bad past lives behind them. And they've dealt with it pretty well. Because of their procedure in new town, many people get affected badly and sometimes they get killed😐.

Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce

Katherine is The Vampire who turned Salvatore Brothers into Vampires. And Elena is the girl who just like Katherine.

Nina Dobrev stars for both characters. Only Elena appears In Early seasons but it gets very interesting when both of them appear in last seasons. She had a hard time figuring out who to love from Salvatore brothers.

At the end of season 3, Elena willingly turned into a vampire and guess what she turned into human again too 😅….

Bonnie Bennett

A witch and one of best friends of Elena. She didn't know who she was. But there were some hints and she figured it out. Turned out there were witch ancestors of her too.

Caroline Forbes

At first, she was a normal high school girl and a cheerleader. Yeah yeah.. She is a Beauty.. And She was turned into a Vampire too😅….

Alaric Saltzman

First, we got to know him as a History Teacher. But Turns out, he is a Vampire Hunter who seeks revenge for the death of her wife. He became a main role because of the Kinship with Elena. At last he also ended up being a Vampire

Lorenzo St. John

Everyone calls him Enzo. He is an old friend of Damon. Actually Cellmate. They were captured by someone who did experiments on Vampires. Enzo is just kinda jumping around Good side And The bad Side. Bonnie and Enzo are a couple.

Tyler Lockwood

A friend of Caroline and Elena. At first he was just a handsome, sporty guy with a bad temper. But later he finds out that Lockwood family had been cursed to be Werewolves. At the beginning, His Shapeshifting was so painful fir him but at the end, he learned some techniques.

As you saw, there are some Supernatural Creatures connected to this Story

Vampires.

Drink Blood as food. It's not necessary to be Human Blood. You know, humans are easy to reach. They have Super powers.

They can make people do things. Many Things 😅.

They can vipe out some memory and they can reverse it too.

Vampire Blood can heal wounds but can't bring dead people back to life.

And Bite Of a Werewolf is fatal for Vampires

Also there is a Plant called Vervain and It's poison for Vampires.

Vampires are Burnt by Sunlight. So they wear a magical ring, Daylight Amulet so they can walk in Daylight.

If someone someone dies with Vampire Blood in his system, he will rise from the dead becoming a Vampire.

They won't die in natural causes but they can be killed by,

• Beheading
• Silver Bullets
• Wooden Stake to the heart

They can't just go into properties. They have to be Invited.

The Originals

They are the original vampires. Only 5 of them. Very powerful. More hard to kill than normal vampires. There is a Spinoff TV Series on Them,The Originals.

Werewolves

They have no special Diet like Vampires. At First, it's hard to control impulse for them but by the time goes, it becomes normal.

Usually they turn into werewolves on Full Moon Days. There are special rings, Moonlight Rings. By wearing them, they can have the control over transformation.

Witches

They are human but they have psychic abilities. They get powerful with experience even to control a Vampire. When they do witchcrafts, they light up candles to Draw Energy from Fire.

There are arrangements between Vampires and Witches so both parties can live in Peace.

Why I Love The Storyline.

Same as in Supernatural, this story also go on with the theme "Family". And almost all characters are young and High School is connected too. With that Young spirit and Romance, even if the story was long as 8 seasons, Young people were attracted to the story. There are a Few Crossover Episodes with The Originals too.

Also Vampires and Werewolves are not the creatures we can see from our eyes. That's why this tv series was able to have over 275, 000 votes. If you ain't afraid of blood and having nightmares, I highly recommend to watch this series.
