Alot of us have read the Great Gatsby novel by Scott Fitzgerald, honestly it's an amazing novel, it mainly shows you a part of life algorithm and how fortune affects feelings in a negative way, and the opposite is true.
Gatsby was able to achieve his main and dream goal, which is getting rich, extremely rich. The problem with his "goal" is he didn't achieve it for himself, but for his love "Daisy". In the stroy Gatsby was "the real exmaple of the true lover lover" - the tragic hero and Daisy was "the real example of the materialistic woman" after getting rejected by her for being poor and out of budget he didn't loose hope، he made a promise to himself to get rich and get his love back. He was wrong, Gatsby couldn't accept reality. For Fitzgerald, Gatsby had a pure heart, and Daisy as we say in a slang way was " a gold digger" she didn't deserve his love for her. In all novellas, the tragic hero always be ended, and that's what happened to Gatsby in the end, he died waiting for her while she was running from him for another rich man and even in his funeral she wasn't there.
The point from my article, is "Honor yourself before honoring others" because trying to prove your love with your fortune isn't an option to validate the love of the "beloved one" especially for Gatsby who tried to get Daisy's attention with fortune even though he truly loved her but she was was with him only for money and left him only for money. Gatsby couldn't accept reality but he afforded his life to the illusion. And the main point is the basis of true love doesn't built with fortune, thank you for reading and have a nice day ).
