Broken heart is a metaphor for the intense emotional stress or pain one feels at experiencing great and deep longing. The concept is cross-cultural, often cited with reference to a desired or lost lover. So many people thought it's only in a romantic relationship that one can be heart broken, but left to me I'd say that we all cam have our heart broken in any relationship in which love, attention and affection is shared. It can be in a friendship, relationship or even in our family.

Social impairment occurs when an individual acts in a less positive way or performs worse when they are around others. Here are the three 3 majors in which heart break causes social impairment.

Lack of trust: this can be seen as a social impairment because without the ability to trust another individual, the level of communication and cooperation will be low. A person with the inability to trust ot cooperate with another can be said to be socially impaired. A person who's heart has been broken will have the tendency of insecurities, because they've once allowed a person to intrude their space and later got broken.

Being introverted: This also can be said to be an impairment. Imagine a person who can't trust another person, will that kind of person be an extrovert? Absolutely Not!.. A heart broken person will gradually grow into an introvert during the stages of depression, he/ she might decides encloses themselves from the outer world. It can also be because of their inability to trust others or inferiority complex, heart break comes with lots of social issues in which can be very hazardous to a person who is very fragile. A

Lack of empathy: Trust me when I said a person who's heart has been broken will definitely lack empathy, because they will not want to understand or reciprocate anyone feelings for a long time, in which can come as being rude or insensitive to other people, and as a result of this, it can be seen as a social impairment.
