Are You Afraid Of Any Medical Instrument?Ex: Syringes, Sphygmomanometer, Stethoscope, Etc Tell Us Why

Yes, i am afraid of these instrument especially the syringes with needles, my father was a nurse and he was the one that took care of me when i am ill. I could recall the day when i am in college then, i had malaria my body was very hot, i could not eat and to sleep is a problem.

My father came back from work that day, he touched my body and he felt that my body was warm. Immediately he noticed that he went to nearby pharmacy which is not very far to my house, he bought some drugs along with syringes. When he arrived he took out the syringes with needles and asked me to opened my ass, i started crying because he knew who i am and he went out to called four boys to hold my hand. My dad finally gave me that injection and i slept throughout day.

Are You Afraid Of Any Medical Specialist? To Which? We Would Like To Know Why

I am afraid of this so called professional doctor and nurses some of them don't care at all. In Nigeria precisely, some of the professionals don't send anybody especially if they want to carryout malaria test or others test they just used striynges with special needle to draw out blood from your body for sample. If their was an emergency situation that they need to attend to, they would just delay it and if that person die is not concern them.

Do You Remember Any Uncomfortable Painful, Funny Or Unpleasant Medical Experience? Do Share It With Us

The pain is really uncomfortable immediately they inject you, your body system will change their will be pain in your ass and you will not be able to move your legs. I could remembered when one of my friends was ill, he called me on phone for help when i reached their i took him to hospital, when we reached the hospital the doctor carried out the necessary test and he confirmed that he had malaria.

The doctor prescribed drugs for him along with syringes, he directed us to the nurses section and when the nurse want to inject him, he started crying and i keep on laughing because i couldn't hold it.

Do You Experienced Any Medical Trauma In Your Childhood? Could You Share It With Us

Although I experienced trauma and i am afraid to fall sick again so that i will not land in the hospital and i am also afraid of doctor because they will just say you have this and that. Back then i used to think about that with the help of God and others sport activities i erased it in my mind.

Did You Experienced An Accident Or Illness Considered Serious? What Teaching Did This Experiences Leave You?

When i was a child i had an accident on my way to school and i was in primary 2 then, this happened on monday morning, i used to walked to school because my house was not far from my school. I didn't noticed their was car behind me and driver didn't horn the car immediately i want to jumped the gutter the car followed me and hit me at the back. With the help of God and people that come to my aid.

What i learnt in that period was that never in my life i will not turn my back to the coming car again i will rather face it to know the direction of car coming And i will look both left and right before crossing the road.

Conclusion

Every one of us need to visit health care center so that they can know what cause our illness through available modern medical instrument. In Arica some of us prefer to go herb center because we afraid of those instrument, we should visit health center for our own good so that test can be conducted and available drug can prescribe.

I invite @edidiongeffiong, @mukka and @olabillions to join me

Very sad with the accidents, SD is a very small age and surely you remember it very strongly to this day,
I think doctors are just doing their job to treat patients well, so needles are scary but when we have to meet them, we have to be ready,
Wish you always healthy and successful 👍

We have to be ready but some people prefer oral drug that needles .. Thanks

what an experience with malaria, it is not the first time that I have read about the fear of injections and the pain they cause, I think it is because your physical structure is very fibrous and you do not have as much fat to cushion the needle, they are quite athletic compared to us who are chubby. Thanks for participating.

Hello @akareen how difficult it must have been to go through malaria and even more so that traffic accident, you are absolutely right we should be more attentive when we cross the streets.

Many successes in the Challenge.

Have a great day 😀

Thanks dear friend

Thank you so much my friend for inviting me, i will definitely take part.
I wish you luck in the contest 👍

I see that you have had several traumatic experiences in your childhood that continue to influence your attitude and behavior in the face of medical events.

The fact that the health care system is not optimal coupled with the attitude of most of the medical staff does not help either.

This reminds me of what happens in my country Venezuela where we are afraid of arriving at a hospital and leaving worse off.

However we must try to be more optimistic for our emotional health and keep faith in God.
