Steemit Engagement Challenge Season5 Week6: Traveling the world at Christmas.

Hi my friend hope you all are well. So today I will participate in Steemit Engagement Challenge season 5 week 6. A very beautiful title has been used here. Our favorite time is Christmas. Many thanks to this community for using such beautiful themes. So I will tell you how Christmas is celebrated in my country.

1.- Do you celebrate Christmas in your country? If the answer is Yes, say how they celebrate it, if the answer is No, say what other special date they celebrate in December.

My country is Sri Lanka. We celebrate Christmas with great joy. Christmas is a very happy day for us. Since December we are preparing for Christmas. We decorate our homes. On Christmas day we decorate our homes with garlands and Christmas trees and beautiful lights. We are already preparing for such a happy day.

To celebrate the birth of Jesus Bilinda, we are preparing a big feast. On Christmas Day we participate in the Night Mass. In this festival, children also make the baby Jesus out of straw and place the baby Jesus in the straw at 12 midnight. That beautiful moment is really beautiful. I am waiting for Christmas day.

We make different kinds of sweets on Christmas day. On Christmas day, we get together as a family and throw a party to celebrate a merry Christmas. On that day, all the angry people reunite and celebrate a beautiful Christmas, forgetting all the things of that year.

2.- Do you perform any ritual at Christmas or on that special date? We would like to meet you.

Yes, on the night of Christmas day, we put the baby Jesus in the sack and we start celebrating Christmas. On that day we prepare a dinner table. We prepare various types of sweets and eat them.

And all our family members get together on that occasion and kiss each other and touch the elders. Meanwhile, we participate in the church service. The Christmas offering is a worldwide offering. It was really a very pleasant day.

3.- What special food do you prepare for this celebration?

One of the special dishes we prepare in this festival is pineapple with chicken rice. We have been making this recipe for several years now. It is a food that my uncle loves very much. He comes to our house on Christmas day expecting this food, so my mother is eager to prepare this food. So on that day we prepare food in this way and celebrate the festival.

A dessert is prepared from the food of that day. It's actually watalappan and jelly. My father loves this dessert so we prepare these on that day with great pleasure. We make this kind of food and celebrate Christmas with joy.

4.- Do you have any special memories regarding Christmas or that special date?

Yes, it's actually my father's birthday on Christmas Day. My father was born on the same day Jesus was born. We celebrate that day beautifully by cutting cake with father and celebrating father's birthday. One day my father was hiding in my house dressed as Santa Claus. While I was looking for my father, he dressed up as Santa Claus and gifted me with a valuable mobile phone. That day was really an unforgettable day for me. I happily kissed my father.

5.- If you could send a virtual Christmas gift to a Steemit user, who would it be and what would you give him?

Yes, I would love to send her a gift to @ngoenyi who is doing a great job on steemit if it is really possible to send a Christmas present. I love her character and I love her great dedication. And I love meeting her. Also want to arrange a special party and invite her to attend the party. I hope to spend a merry Christmas with her.
