It is the second week of the Engagement challenge, and we are expected to write an original story using the image given to us. My story will be centered on the image on the cover image of this post. Read along.

TRADEGY OF JESSICA

Mrs Martins watched the turn of events from where she sat and came to the conclusion that pretence, was a cloak used to shroud some very malicious acts….

lightening lashed at the sky causing momentary blindness and thunder rumbled in rapid successions. the wind howled and the plantain trees surrounding the enclosed compound danced violently according to the tune of the wind but they gave up too soon because they were severed and their parts flung in different directions.

It'd been a brief funeral and everything had been concluded before it began raining cat and dog.

Jessica your aunt is here, hurry up and don’t keep her waiting, you know you have a long way ahead of you. Ok mother.. replied young Jessica.

Jessica was a young, vibrant as well as very intelligent girl, who continues to stand tall despite challenges of life. Her father died at the age of 5, and she has struggled with her mother to get along with life despite the difficulties they have faced.

When Jessica Lost her father, her mum was constantly tortured by the family of her husband. They tagged her evil and claimed nothing good would ever come from her. She was sent out of the house. She saw hell while on earth. Despite all odds, Jessica’s mother, tried her best to give Jessica the best form of life.

Jessica made good grades in school, and was giving a scholarship to further her education as a medical student in high school, her Aunt Mrs Williams have really been of help to Jessica as well as her mother. Jessica was expected to stay with her aunt while going to the university to further her education, as such her aunt came to pick her up, very early in the morning.

Schooling in Africa is actually a very tough and difficult task. One has go through the stress of attending classes, doing lots of assignments and test. Jessica was ever determined to stand tall despite all odds.

It’s 5years already, and Jessica was done with medical school after all the stress attached with school. Jessica’s mother was the most happiest woman at that moment. Imagine all she passed through to ensure the dreams of her daughter came to a reality. It was a roller coaster of emotions as they both wept and wished their husband and father was alive to witness such a great milestone achieved.

Jessica got a Job after graduation at olive spring hospital, where she wanted to work part time, while trying to secure a Job outside Africa, probably in the US, or United Kingdom as she wanted to explore outside Africa as well as earn more. She worked hardly, and also tried to achieve her dream of leaving Africa.

On this fateful day, Jessica was off work, the doctor who runs shift with in the hospital had an emergency, and wanted Jessica to cover up for him. Jessica was lying on her bed while seeing a movie with a bowl full of popcorn, when her phone range.

Hello.. Goodevening Doctor Wale, how are you? How is the work going?
Doctor wale, responded.. Hi Doctor Jessica, I am fine, how is your off day going?
Jessica responded saying, it’s going well, just having a bowl of popcorn and seeing a movie.
Dr wale quickly said ok, and told Jessica he needed a favour from him. He stated that his wife called urgently that she had an emergency and wanted him to come home immediately.

Jessica was a girl soft at heart, and passionate about people,Immediately, she dressed up and hurried up for work, not knowing what was to befall her.

She stood on the road, waiting for a cab, when 4 able bodied men, grabbed her, and sprinkled some substance on her face. Before she could alter a word, she passed out.

Jessica my child o! Jessica what have you done to deserve this kind of death? Oh God of heavens!! My only Child…. Mrs Lisa wept with her arms folded across her flabby breasts.

"Don't worry! It'll be fine!" It'll be OK." Some people clutched her tightly, stopping her from approaching her child Jessica's lifeless corpse.

"O, my good child!" May whoever did this to her never prosper!" She cursed even more.
"So be it," the little crowd agreed.

Poor little girl, with so many dreams to be achieved, wasted just like that, one of the strangers standing by muttered. The lifeless body of Jessica was laid to rest. All her dreams buried along side with her, after crossing oceans, mountains to reach the sky. When the stars were about to shine on her, it became dark.

Who must have killed Jessica?
Was she having feud with anyone else?
Are there things surrounding the death of Jessica?

I think there should be one more story to unfold all that surrounded the death of Jessica.
