With a strong scientific and quantitative background, I entered medical school four years earlier than many of my classmates.I had a lot of practice studying and working hard.Although there was a lot of new information to learn, the first two years were difficult for me.For me, it opened up a whole new world of significant issues, scientific thought, and tools.

It was all very interesting.I had great teachers and mentors during my clinical rotation years.Throughout medical school, I worked as a lab technician part-time in the university for development studies. It was an exceptional tertiary care unit with high acuity patients.Working in that unit taught me a lot about critical care decision-making.There were many good saves and some very sad losses. It showed me what it's like to work in acute care medicine.

Are you afraid of any medical instrument? Ex: syringes, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, etc. Tell us why.

Yhs of course, I am afraid of needles. The extreme fear of needles is trypanophobia. In particular, people who suffer from this phobia are afraid to have their blood drawn or injected.Despite its prevalence, trypanophobia can significantly impact your life.People who have a severe fear of needles may delay or avoid receiving necessary medical care.Consider getting medical procedures that require needles because of this.As many as one in four adults and two in three children, according to estimates, have a strong fear of needles.

Are you afraid of any medical specialist? To which? we would like to know why.

You have Iatrophobia when you are afraid of doctors or medical tests. If you suffer from severe anxiety or panic attacks, you may delay seeking medical attention even when you are seriously ill.Fear also arises at the thought of undergoing medical examinations.A person's fear of doctors can be caused by a variety of factors. It could be a fear of certain medical procedures, the pain of those procedures, an anticipated diagnosis, or a fear that came about after a bad experience with a particular doctor or during a previous visit.

Do you remember any uncomfortable, painful, funny or unpleasant medical experience? Share it with us🙂

Hmmm Yhs. This happened back at SHS, Tamale Islamic Science Senior High School when I was in my final year. We had a practical in the laboratory with the chemistry teacher. She was a lady. A very educative and knowledgeable woman. She helped us in everything we need to know in the laboratory. As we were dealing with acids and bases, An acid nearly explodes. It was unpleasant, it wasn’t funny tho. I was very lucky and will never forget this day.

Did you experience any medical trauma in your childhood?Could you share it with us?

Yhs. In my childhood experiences, I had a sickness called chickenpox. I wasn’t feeling comfortable being around people. People who knew chicken pox very well didn’t want to come near me. I couldn’t attend school for a whole month. I missed classes and everything they thought during that period.

Have you experienced an accident or illness considered serious? What teaching did this experience leave you?

A very serious accident indeed. As I was about to cross the road, I looked left, right, left again before crossing and that was all. I opened my eyes just to realize I was in the hospital. I asked my mom and she told me I had a car accident. Those parking cars on the roadside caused it. I was standing in front of one car which was blocking my view from the left. I checked well on the left but I couldn’t see that a car was coming from that side. So it also lost control and knocked me down. It thought me a lot of lessons. Me for instance will never park my car on the roadside because I know it’s disadvantages.

I invite @babadawuda @miinah123 and @mukadas to join this contest.

Hello @mukka the phobia of injections is apparently a topic, in my case I don't like them but I don't get to have a phobia as such.

How strong about your accident, it's good that it didn't happen to adults.

Many successes in the Challenge.

Have a great day 😀

Thank you😊

Hello, thank you for clarifying the terms, today I leave with more knowledge and that is always great, the lines show the love you feel for your profession which is not easy.

I am glad that in spite of all the physical losses, the criticism of the medical staff's involvement, you are still motivated and loving this work.

Most of you have recounted your childhood experiences and how these have affected you notably as a result of the bad treatment also by health professionals.

And it is true but the more people love this work and learn to work under the pressure that comes with care will be better, I know that you are in this group, blessings friend.
