"dylian come get your shirt it's ready" -Alexa
"dylian! I'm holding up in the car come quick" -dad
"try not to leave before having your breakfast" -Alexa
"come quick!" -dad
coming! -Dylian
Dylian opens the main door, wearing earphones, holding his morning meal in one hand, and sits quietly in the car.
This is a participation post for the Steemit Engagement Challenge week 2, "Create your original story" organized by @colombiaoriginal
The Boy with empty Playlist
Character's sketch ;
Dylian: he is a polite but bashful 20 year old teenager, after his mother passed (when he was 10) he became least interested in surrounding, not listening a thing, and always messed up with his mp3 player, which everyone hated.
Alexa: 25, Dilyans older sister, she has been looking after him since their mother died.
Sofia: Chemistry teacher at Dylians college, somehow she's every students favorite.
Today was not a normal day, for today was his birthday, but unlike many teens who desire to celebrate such days he didn't wanted to think about it. It was a normal day like ordinary days, only thing that changed was that he was not 20 yesterday.
In the car his father gave him cash to get anything of his choice for birthday, "look son, you're a grown up man today, i'm proud of you. after your mothers death i never offered both of you the attention you deserved and i'm sorry for that. If your mom was alive today she would have been as proud as me.."
he powered the engine and started driving,
"nothing is covered up i've made mistakes my whole life it's ahh! can't explain. never ignore the happiness of people around you, live your best life, help people, give your loved ones time and remember what ever! your dad's proud of you."
he halted, dylian never replied to any of his words, car stopped before the entryway, dylian got off the car
Dylian takes a deep breath and continues with his dad in the same rhythm;
i know dad! byy he went in, without knowing what disaster life had for him in his 20's.
during his geography lecture the emergency alarm rang students begin screaming,
"there's fire in the lab" -voice 1
the lab was on fire, due to chemicals mishandling, with in a flicker everything caught lethal blaze, It was the beginning of the end for the college building, harsh smoke spiraling towards the sky.
children along with dylian hurried out of building, dread everywhere,
"where is mam sofia?" -voice 2
"i saw her leading towards the chemistry lab" -voice 3
"hell no, she's not here, she might be stuck in there" -voice 2
"we can't go in. when will the fire brigade come?" -voice 4
Dylian was listening this, all that came to his mind was 11 years daughter of Sofia, a glimpse of what happened 10 years back appeared in front of him, without wasting any second he rushed inside the building.
"dylian no!!!!" -voice 2
"boy are you crazy! return" -voice 5
Dense smoke, rising blazes of fire, he knew it was a suicide attempt. with effort he reached, the lab the door was stuck due to fire, he grabbed a chair, broke the door, heard Sofia calling out for help, she was stuck under the table, helped her out, everything was covered in roaring fire, gave Sofia cover, succeeded in rescuing her but the movement he was to exit the room the door fell and the only way to exit closed.
seeing no chance of escape, he requested Sofia to pass this message to his family,
with tears in his eyes, he said Mam tell my family,
threw his player towards her and made her leave, he was scared, smoke travelling down his throat, he said the words his mother always told her;
Eventually, the fire consumed all.
sirens begin, the fire brigade came. Be that as it may, it was all in vein.
after the incident they found his mp3 player and realized it had no songs it was empty, it was his try to escape from reality and the world. he always wanted a escape
“The greatest dignity to be found in death is the dignity of the life that preceded it. This is a form of hope that we can all achieve, and it is the most abiding of all. Hope resides in the meaning of what our lives have been.”

Hello friend, it is certainly a great writing, very good phrase at the end, I think that at some point it has happened to all of us that we want to disappear or simply isolate ourselves from everyone, I think that sometimes it is necessary. Thanks for your entry, very good!
