I am afraid of syringes. God, those things are scary but my fear grew from childhood when a nurse took it upon herself to give me injection herself and hurting me all over in search of viens.

Are you afraid of any medical specialist? To which? we would like to know why.

I don't hate any medical specialist because they have helped me a lot with my health crisis, but based on my experience with the nurse, I don't like medical practitioners that are not well trained to handle a situation because my mind will not be at rest and does who don't have a conscience because some of the ones that I have met have no conscience and human sympathy, just a few of them knows how to calm their patients down.

Do you remember any uncomfortable, painful, funny, or unpleasant medical experience? Share it with us🙂

My mom has a farm where she has chickens and goats, so sometimes, I would help her cut grass for the goats. So, this one time in 2013 when I went to get gather the food for them, I mistakenly cut off my hand as food instead of the grass for the goat. At first, it felt like I was dreaming then the pain proved that it actually happened. I remember jumping up and down in the house dropping blood as I jumped, and screaming for anyone that was around.

Fortunately for me, my cousin was around and he took me to the nearest hospital around. It wasn't even funny, the pain was something else. What made it easier for me was that it happened in my left arm, so I was still able to do some things with my right arm. People are surprised because all the scar from the cutlass has gone.

Did you experience any medical trauma in your childhood? Could you share it with us?

One of the medical trauma that I've had was when I was sick and was taken to the hospital for some treatment. Seems like the doctor in charge was not around at the time, so an auxiliary nurse took it upon herself to administer my drugs, but did she do it well no. In a bid to look for my veins, she ended up sticking infection all over my body and still did not find anything but only left my body swollen up and hurting. Thankfully, before she can continue, the doctor came back and started scolding her that she was not assigned to do that.

Another one gave me the wrong drugs that nearly took my life. It took God's intervention that it was discovered early when I was losing breath. The hospital immediately put me on drip before I was able to get my strength back.

Have you experienced an accident or illness considered serious? What teaching did this experience leave you?

Currently, I am very sick. I have been down since Tuesday. At first, I thought it was a mere cough because of the cold weather but by Wednesday, I couldn't breathe properly, coughing was hard and my body hurt badly. I can't feel my test bud and I keep throwing up. It took the last strength in me to go buy drugs that calmed me down.

As someone who has a history of asthma, I am very careful about what I do. As a child, I had to deal with this for quite a while where you don't know when it will happen and just have to be prepared at all times, ready with your drugs.

As I grew up, it reduced but that those not mean I should be careless with my health.
✔ I just became more conscious and careful about my health.
✔I don't expose myself to cold or dust.
✔ I cover myself all the time.

I invite @lifeoflee and @sahmie to take part in this contest.

Syringes are terrible, their prick generates pain and many of us, like you, are afraid of them. It is true what you say, the professionals are there to help us as well as the nurses, however, there are some nurses who are rude and when you are sick, you want to be treated well and with a certain kindness that some do not have.

That cut you are talking about, must have been strong, it is good that you do not have a scar and your medical trauma is more than logical, because of bad management, you almost got sicker ha ha ha.

Thank you very much for sharing your medical experiences and I hope you recover soon from the respiratory illness you have now, good health to you.

Syringes are terrible but if it is a friendly doctor, I wouldn't even notice whenever I take it. Thank you for the reviews.

Saludos.

It is not an experience that I will forget in a hurry. Thank you for engaging my blog.
