The donkey said to the tiger, "The color of the grass is blue!"
The tiger said, "No, the color of the grass is green!"
The two started arguing. Both are reluctant to move from their positions. In the end, they both went to the court of the king of the forest, the lion, to settle the dispute.
As soon as he left, the donkey started screaming. The tiger was not given a chance to speak. At last the donkey said, "Your Majesty, the color of the grass is blue. Isn't it?" The lion said, "Yes, the color of the grass must be blue."
The donkey said, "Your Majesty is unwilling to accept this fact. He should be punished." The king declared, "The tiger was sentenced to one year in prison."
The donkey was overjoyed and wandered around the forest saying that the tiger had been imprisoned for him.
Meanwhile, the tiger went to the lion and asked, "Your Majesty, the color of the grass is green, isn't it?" The king said, "Yes, the color of the grass is green." The tiger asked, "But why did you order my imprisonment?"
The king said, "You have not been punished for saying that the color of the grass is blue or green. You have been punished for wasting my precious time arguing with the donkey. According to you, if intelligent animals do that, what will the rest learn?"
