Over to the sixth week for this contest and we have always believed that things will be better soon. The previous one wasn't really encouraging but I hope this week contest will be very productive. The community is currently active and maintaining it's activeness won't be possible if we don't keep on commenting and posting.

Watching movies is what I do once winter starts so thusfar I only watched short films and that's also why I hosted that contest. I gave up on it not because I no longer watch a film or no one does but I do no longer believe in the community I worked hard for
Since there's a community Netflix & Streaming it's wiser to post reviews of films there. A community should stand for a topic so post can be found back by those interested in a certain topic.
I slowly started watching ** Silo** again. It's interesting but it does go slowly since I watch online which is hard if the wifi isn't stable next to that I watch late at night which is good for falling asleep.
Silo is an Apple TV series but it's possible to watch it with a different streaming as well for free or paid or a period for free (don't forget to cancel after you watched).
123movies for example (no silo) so I use hdtoday.
We shared a Netflix account with the family but it became expensive and... we all received a message we are not part of the household even if we are. Is Netflix (nearly 14 euros per month) worth the prize? I don't think so since more and more film producers (Disney for example) started their own streaming which means there's hardly anything new to watch.
Also if you travel abroad you can no longer use Netflix unless you ask (yourself or the one who pays) for a code.
Let's see how long Netflix will survive over here.
It's not important to me. I have a large videothek, so have my children (video tapes and DVDs and films we downloaded).
By the way many films can be found on YouTube as well so no need to be bored.
Great thing about the streaming services?
You can switch to different hosts if the first doesn't work. It can help. Negative: you can't download or watch if your wifi is slow (and if you really want to see a film).

I really love the way you expressed yourself about movies, through this comment contest. Alot of people make use of Netflix even though we still have YouTube and other places to watch movies for free.
I have never used Netflix before because I feel is unnecessary to spend money just to watch a movie I believe can get somewhere else for free.
I watched the trailer you dropped and I must confess that silo is a very wonderful film full with alot of realities of life. So you also watch movies like this? That's impressive. Hope you had a good weekend?

Thank you for your reply. Years ago I had filmnet. It did cost but it was 24/7 good films. Next they started with only 2 periods, (morning, afternoon and night) and after that 1 for the same prize. Next I noticed only once per month 2 new films were added. Not so great if you are ill and saw it all or it's low budget I don't like to watch.
Netflis was a solution if you can share the costs but they hardly offer complete series and Disney, Warner B and so on buy films (companies) and have their own streaming services.

There's enough to watch for free and youtube shows as well in episodes as well. It's a bit searching and at times you have to be fast before it's removed.

Oh how I love watching movies especially
K-dramas, Indian movies and American movies. Watching movies have taught me beautiful english articulations. I usually download loads of k-dramas using Nkiri movie app and I also currently seeing a movie tagged " a judge from hell". Thanks for the website @wakeupkitty

Am participating in this contest for the first time and I will try my best to engage with the other comments and also make this comment standard.
Movies are what we watch to keep us busy most times and we always learn something from a movie as long as we watch them with so much curiosity, especially the ones that are very interesting. I have watched alot of movies both in my phone and with our television at home.
There are so many kinds of movies and everyone has the particular time they love so much, I love adventurous and romance movies alot.
There's also a very popular movie I love do much, the name is Titanic. This movie was acted based on a real life story, the owner of the ship made a statement that God can not sink it no matter what, this is a very offensive statement before God and God made the ship not to survive the iceberg that came to their way.
I believe most of the travellers didn't hear this statement because if am there and I hear such a statement I won't even enter that ship at all because anything can happen.
Alot of people died when the ship sinked including one of the main characters Jack, I was really sad about the way alot of people died, is a very painful movie as so many people struggled to survive. I brought a trailer for those who haven't watched it before.

When I was a child there is this big television my uncle have and this television is black and white.
Among all my neighborhood is only my uncle that have television. And each time there is any thing like football match, if you come to my uncle's pallor it is as if that's a football station.
But do you know one funny thing about this television? You must beat the television like many times before it will bot normal.
The most funny thing is that one day my cousin use anger and beat the television, the television scatter. When my uncle came back that day and noticed that the television has scatter he ask who did it! Every body refused to speak because we wanted him to buy a new one for the family.

I remember as a little girl many years back, owning a television in my village was a big achievement and the television was an asset to its owners.
And so, the people who owned the television were usually seen or regarded as celebrities. Thank goodness, my father was one of those who owned the television and so people usually came to our house to watch movies.
Such that my father's sitting room wasn't enough that the television was kept in the lobby for everyone to be able to watch movies.
One day, a certain man came looking for his daughter who was watching movies in our house. Because he didn't know there was a well in our house, he mistakenly fell inside the well filled with water. Thank goodness it wasn't a deep well but a shallow one.
You can imagine such embarrassment, because of his child going to watch movies, the man fell into a well of water. It was embarrassing because that's not what he opted for.
From that day, my father never allowed people from outside to come to watch movies in our house again.
Now, everyone have access to movies even on their phones, because times have changed.

As they say, watching movies is an attempt to escape reality, and yes, I agree. Filmmaking is an art; and art – at least for me and what I chose to believe – transcends reality. That’s the beauty of art: it does not only reflect the concrete realities of life, but also explores its complex hypothetical side. And most of the time, it is this hypothetical side that keeps us entertained – as curiosity often tickles our imaginations.
Although it may sound contemptible to some, but I would say that, yes, I watch movies to escape reality – to a much deeper or even greater reality. The reality of our inner life. To further illustrate, one of my favorite movies is the Korean film ‘Parasite’ which powerfully depicts the truth we often shy away from. And how this film was able to illustrate the truth about social inequality, class struggle, and complexity of human relationships is no doubt, a masterpiece of art. This is the deeper or greater ‘inner’ reality I want to escape to when watching movies.

Watching movies, as my mum would say, is food for our eyes. It keeps us entertained and educates us about different life experiences, cultural ideas and stories.
It also helps the viewers to connect more deeply even with our emotions (I mean I have lost count of how many times I shed a tear, gotten angry about some characters in a movie)
Watching movies has to be one of my favorite hobbies, especially with a good snack to keep the tummy filled. Growing up as a child I always stayed glued to the TV watching movies and skipped helping mummy in the kitchen.
Mummy complained, yelled about it. I even received a few strokes at times, but this didn't deter my love for movies.
One of the days, mummy quietly joined us in the parlor unknown to us and had a fair share of the enjoyment that comes with watching the TV.
After a while, the power was interrupted and as Nigerians, we all shouted "Nepa" down cast. Well, we sat down for a while reminiscing about the movie we had just watched and the many possibilities of its end.
Then Mummy spoke up and with shock on our faces we asked when she joined us. She replied, and I quoted "Now let's all go and cook in the kitchen". I deemed it fit to join in watching movies since no one offered a helping hand.
I also remember watching a series of movies until it was dawn. It was a Philippines movie titled "Mara and Clara". I remember telling myself I would stop after each episode. Curiosity got the best of me. I pretended to be asleep when mummy came to wake me up. I slept in between classes and was asked to stand on my desk with my hands suspended in the air as a punishment. Well, I almost fell off my desk and I received the scorn of my life.

I remember watching "Mara and Clara" too and NEPA never let us watch the end. It was always the same thing no matter how many times the station repeated the series. They always took the light. At the very last episode. 😅😭
Well, when I slept late from watching late night movies, I was always the first to get up. And would be very energetic. Very weird.
And it still happens till today. I sleep late then I wake up very early.
