My best seasonal thoughts are not starting off great! Eventhough fireworks are not allowed we had a problem We went to the park and Joey got hurt. So this is what happened. They walked with me on a leach but when we enter the park they are allowed to go run, so I unleashed them and they ran away together and there were some other dogs aswel and the fun was in the pocket. Well I thought it was ! Apparently there were young guys with fire crackers in a part of the park I wasn’t and threw them at the dogs. So before I knew, Joey came running past me and instead of coming to lay with me, he crossed the street and ran away!

I panicked and called Charlie who was on the other side not close to the fireworks but also not close to me and tried to run after Joey. Afraid he was hurt or would be run over by a car. I ran home with Charlie and saw that he was safe but shaking all over infront of the door. He was limping. I took them inside and examined his paw. That was damaged. I called the vet and could come traight away. So much for that early start of the last day before my holiday and all that was on the agenda!!

So my best seasonal thoughts for the contest by @wesphilbin on this year are that for us the time that weddings and births were the center of things that happened on a year slowly is shifting to growing up and also saying goodbye to loved ones. Not a very great thoughtfulthought but that’s life. So make the most of it and bear with it. For our furry friends it’s the same they depend on us and love us like we do them. These days even extra. It will be Joey’s birthday tomorrow and for now his paw / leg is sprained and heals well with rest. So as an additional seasonal thought please be carefull with fireworks and animals. Treat them as you would treat yourself. They can’t harm you. For Joey there is some extra tender, love and care especially from little D. Next week after Christmas we will go back to the vet.

This is a leaflet from animal protection centre to stop fireworks between 22-23 hours to give the animal owners the possibility to walk their dogs and other animals without any fear.

For other parts I wish everybody a great Christmas and a prosper 2020 but I will do a few post and tell you again and again. Now back to my sweethart.
