Today I was a bit nervous something like when you are unable to take the correct decision about a situation that eventually comes in such a quandary...

To be honest it was not a today subject but it has been flying over my head these past days.

All was about making a travel to spend the New Year out of home. I won't give you more details about it because it's not relevant on the subject.

But today I made up my mind, I finally took my decision : I won't go.

Sometimes you get somewhat forced to make things for others. It's not they press you but that you're compelling yourself.
You may think I'm weird, well yes I am a bit lol.

Hoy he estado todo el día inquieto como cuando eres incapaz de tomar la decisión correcta frente a una situación que finalmente se convierte en un dilema...

Para ser sincero no es algo de hoy más bien llevo mascullándolo hace unos dias.

Se trata de un viaje que tenía previsto para Año Nuevo fuera de casa. No os daré más detalles del viaje porque no es importante en el asunto que trato.

Sin embargo hoy he tomado mi decisión: no haré ese viaje.

A veces uno se siente como forzado a hacer cosas por los demás. No es que los demás te obligen sino más bien uno mismo es el que lo hace.

Podéis pensar que soy tonto, bueno un poco sí lol.

I tend too often to force myself on reaching all the spots, all the needs I see out there. I do it even more when my beloved ones are involved. I too oftenly overvalue my strength and free time so finally I get stuck or worn-out...

With time I've been learning to control myself and regulate my energy so it doesn't happens.
It's all about saying "No", as simple as that and so difficult it can come up sometimes. One cannot be everywhere, everytime with everyone, that's impossible.

Learning to efficiently share my energy and time on those goals/duties I have in my list is the main thing that I've been struggling with these last years. I really must achieve this in order to take the best from my short free time.

And what about my "seasonal toughts" proposed by my friend @wesphilbin?

Appart from my normal thoughts about my job and daily preocupations, my seasonal thoughts come as usual as always: how futile our lives seem sometimes, caring about our "little" problems, like mice running on a wheel their unlimited race, living in our little bubbles that is our little world.

However over my head kept flying words like "starving children", "pain", "hoplessness", "abuse", "slavery", "violence", "guns", "sorrow", "greed", "selfishness", "loneliless" and a tone more...

I won't be solving all the bad things of our world, it's impossible. What can I do about them? . I can check which of those words match with me or what surrounds me. Maybe I can do something about what I have at hand, maybe I can be less selfish, less greedy, less rude to others, more empathic, more open minded, more patient and lovely to others... maybe.

That's what I was thinking those past days before Christmas, the time where all good things happen, really?

Christmas should last for ever...

Dejando de lado mis pensamientos y preocupaciones acerca del trabajo y avatares diarios, mis pensamientos pre-navideños son los habituales de siempre: cuán fútil parece nuestra vida a veces, preocupándonos de nuestros "pequeños" problemas, como si fuéramos ratones corriendo infinitamente en su ruedita, viviendo en nuestras pequeñas burbujas que son nuestro pequeño mundo.

Sin embargo sobre mi cabeza, tozudas, sobrevuelan palabras como "niños hambrientos", "dolor", "desesperacion", "explotación", "esclavitud", "violencia", "armas", "pena", "avaricia/codicia", "egoismo" y una tonelada más...

No voy a solucionar todo lo malo de nuestro mundo, es imposible. ¿Qué podría hacer al respecto?. Puedo comprobar cuál o cuáles de esas palabras me definen o están a mi alrededor. Quizá pueda hacer algo con lo que tengo a mano, quizá pueda ser menos egoísta, menos codicioso, menos rudo con los demás, más sensible frente a sus problemas, más abierto de mente, más paciente y cariñoso con los que me rodean...quizás.

Y ésto es lo que he estado pensando estos días atrás previos a la Navidad, el tiempo en el que todo lo bueno ocurre, ¿de verdad?

La Navidad debería durar siempre...
