On The Road

Hi Everyone. I hope you are well and waiting for the New Year 2020 to bring in lots of love and good cheer! 🎉

My entry to #mountainmonday and #bouldersunday by @shasta is the view on the road trip to visit my sister in Nova Scotia over Christmas.

The roads were clear and not much snow in the fields except when we went through the Cobequid Pass. It is the name given to a 45 km (28 mi) tolled section of Nova Scotia Highway 104 (the Trans-Canada Highway. It is a high elevation and seems to get the worse of weather conditions.

Overcast weather conditions made driving easier. Nothing worse than the sun in your face while driving.

There wasn’t any traffic until we got closer to Halifax. It is a peaceful drive with beautiful scenery of mountains in the background.

I tried to capture some boulders. These ones on the side of the road have ice forming from the water that flows down them. A dusting of snow fell the night before.

A final photo of the sunset as we neared Halifax.

Sunday and Red. An old edited photo taken when Sunday Cat was a kitten.

They both still love the wood heat.

Happy New Year and may 2020 bring you much joy! 🎉

That highway is so empty. If only the roads were so wide and open in Korea ...

It was nice diving without bumper to bumper traffic. I lived in Whitby, Ont for years and know how hectic the traffic can be.

I think I would prefer PEI to Whitby, too.

Nice sunset photography with travel.

Thanks @kamrunnahar! I’m glad you liked the travel photos.

Thanks so much PHC @steemitbloggers. Your support is appreciated! 😊 💗

Those colors are so beautiful! I dream of getting a real camera, but your stuff makes me think I should just stay with what I've got. Very nice, Happy New Year right back atcha.

Thanks @owasco! I usually use my canon camera but when travelling I didn’t want any more things to look after. My phone isn’t new but I think the newer ones are touted as taking great photos.

Made me think of the song 🎶 on the road again! :-)
Awesome photos ❤ @redhadpei love those combos of mountains
and boulders. Sure look like cold ones with those icy teeth!
Your roads look so nice and clear compared to here right now.
How much does a toll road cost? Is there a alternative road?
Beautiful sunset, thank goodness the sun was not in the face, talk
about blinded by the light! Nice to see what it looks like there.
🎊 Happy New Year to you and yours!

Hi Shasta! Thanks and champagne 🍾 Happy New Years Eve to you and yours! 🎉

I was also thinking of the song and almost added ‘Again’ to the post title. 😂

The toll on the stretch of highway through the Pass is $4.00. Not bad. There probably is an alternate route but we stayed on the TransCanada.

Lovely and cold! Hope 2020 is a great year for all of us! Did you see my Photochain post? I tagged you because the theme for this week's challenge is HEART and DOOR
And I was thinking that you may have an appropriate photo to enter.

Thanks Melinda. I saw your photo chain post and will find something to enter.

I hope 2020 will be a fantastic year for all of us too 💕

Sunday and Red have a nice spot close to the heat! That looks like a nice drive redheadpei.

The cats enjoy the warmth of the wood heat. It was a lovely peaceful drive without traffic until we neared Halifax.
