AMP:Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain, and His disciples and a great throng accompanied Him.
12 AMP:[Just] as He drew near the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a large gathering from the town was accompanying her.
13 AMP:And when the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, Do not weep.
14 AMP:And He went forward and touched the funeral bier, and the pallbearers stood still. And He said, Young man, I say to you, arise [from death]!
15 AMP:And the man [who was] dead sat up and began to speak. And [Jesus] gave him [back] to his mother.
16 AMP:Profound and reverent fear seized them all, and they began to recognize God and praise and give thanks, saying, A great Prophet has appeared among us! And God has visited His people [in order to help and care for and provide for them]! (Luke 7:11-16)
When it's seem like all hope is gone and you want to give up remember that God is our present help in times of troubles.
He is never late, but it can be delay to test your faith.
Here was a woman who had lost her husband, the man she loved. Her only comfort and hope remained her only child, her son.
Suddenly, the unexpected happened, death struck like thief and snatched away the boy. The woman was in a bitter sorrow.
Then Jesus came just in a right time and uttered the words "weep not".
He raised up the dead boy and save the woman from shame and also wipe away her tears and sorrows.
God is our very present help even in times of troubles
He is always there to help us and never leave us alone to suffer.
