Hive to launch this Friday - and the future of the Christian Fellowship Community

Dear Christian Fellowship Community,

Many of you will have seen by now the announcement of a Steem sister chain called Hive that will be launched at 10am EST on March 20. You can read the full announcement here. To summarise, a snapshot of the Steem blockchain will be taken at the launch of Hive on March 20, and most Steemians will be airdropped the equivalent amount of Steem, SP and SBD on the Hive blockchain. All of our posts will be mirrored on Hive.

After launch is when the fun begins. Posts on Steem and Hive will be independent of one another, and we can choose to use either or both chains. We will also see which dapps joins which blockchain after the launch, and what new features will be developed on Hive.

As for the Christian Fellowship Community, I intend to continue my content and curation on both chains if possible. But if things become too difficult to manage on both chains, then I may choose one chain to focus on at a later stage. But I will definitely keep the community updated as we go.

If you have any thoughts about this, please feel free to leave a comment or ask your questions in the comments below.

Blessings
Jimmy

Thank you.

Brilliant. This is my thoughts too.

Hey brother, do we have to open a new account on Hive or will something happen automatically during the hardfork?

Automatically. Just use your same username and keys and password.

Cool! Thank you!

i'll stay on both for awhile but will eventually, will just be on one. Hope that is Hive but too early for me to tell (I feel like i might have a chance to be more useful there). Currently powering down steem - to keep my options open.

Pretty much my thinking too. Initially going to stay on both for a while, and see how things go.
Btw, have really appreciated all your support for my content and for this community. Thanks
