Open Church: Prayer and thanks giving

in hive-114345 •  5 years ago

Welcome to church! Open Church is a weekly post that aims to be a place where Christians on Steem can hang out, encourage and build up one another, and reflect the love of Christ. The church is not a building, but is made up of people who have been transformed by God’s grace.

Each week I will be putting up a new post with a new topic or theme for discussion. But feel free to come here just to fellowship and be a blessing to one another. Whatever denominational background your from, or if you’re just curious about the Christian faith, everyone is welcome.

So feel free to share a link to your favourite worship song, share a word of encouragement, a prayer request, or introduce yourself.

Today’s topic is: What are you thankful for or needing prayer for?

In my devotional time this morning, I was reading through my Bible reading plan on the Bible app, and I read the following from 2 Corinthians 1:10-11.

He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

So please let us know in the comments below what you would like prayer for, or what you are thankful for. Let us join together in prayer and thanks giving for what God has done.

Blessings
Jimmy
