Welcome to church! Open Church is a weekly post that aims to be a place where Christians on Steem and Hive can hang out, encourage and build up one another, and reflect the love of Christ. The church is not a building, but is made up of people who have been transformed by God’s grace.
There is the equivalent Christian Fellowship community on Hive. I tend to be more active on Hive. So apologies if I don't get to your questions here until several days later.
Each week I will be putting up a new post with a new topic or theme for discussion. But feel free to come here just to fellowship and be a blessing to one another. Whatever denominational background your from, or if you’re just curious about the Christian faith, everyone is welcome.
So feel free to share a link to your favourite worship song, share a word of encouragement, a prayer request, or introduce yourself.
What topic or theme would you like to see for the next Open Church?
For the past few months, almost since the beginning of this Christian Fellowship Community, I have run Open Church with a different theme/topic each week. I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the community and engaging with each one of you. As I struggled to come up with a theme/topic for this week, I thought why not get input and feedback from the community.
My intent in starting the Open Church series is for us in the community to get to know one another and have some form of fellowship to encourage and build up one another. It's also a place for those who might be interested in Christianity to observe and ask questions.
With this in mind, I would like to hear from you. How can we improve Open Church to make it more engaging and edifying for everyone? And what topics or themes would you like to see featured in future Open Church posts?
Finally, I've been thinking about possibly doing an interview series for individuals within the community to share a bit about themselves and their testimony. Let me know if you would like to be interviewed for the series or who you think might be interested.
Blessings
Jimmy
