Ephesians 6:9
" And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him."
Being a steward is serving your people who is under you, is never enjoying luxurious life. It is not a way to become wealthy or boasting of the position you have occupied. But is a position of humbleness of oneself to self your subordinates, this is because those that are under you have now accepted Christ, and now learning more things in Christianity. The congregation need to be guided, Coach or trained.
A good steward must show the way, go the way and lead the way. A steward is a leader to the congregation. He must put up a behavior that all the congregation will emulate and also become a good steward in his absence. He must not be a threat to his subordinates, but he must be someone approachable and submissive to his followers, so that they can freely learn.
So Jesus Christ showed a good stewardship by leading his Disciples, directed them how to win souls and to draw many people to the Salvation that He has prepared for them. But today, many stewards mislead the congregation and drive them away from coming to Christ Jesus, meanwhile that wasn't what Christ Jesus taught us. He taught us that we should even mourn with those who are mourning and be happy with those who are happy. So, those who understand the work of stewardship just serve and sacrifice their lives for the work of God.
