AND RACHAEL CRIED UNTO JACOB, GIVE ME CHILDREN, OR ELSE I DIE”.

“And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die”. Genesis 30:1 (KJV)

Give me children or else I die is the cry of a woman who was desperate for children. In the part of the earth where I was born, one of the major reasons for marriage is for procreation. It is always seen as the fault of the woman if children are not born into the family. In some years past no one can consider the fact that a man too can be barren. A woman who bears no child is under-valued, feels lonely and stands abandoned by the husband if not divorced.

Barren women here are given derogatory names like, firewood, a man, an outcast with no inheritance. Little wonder these days, women can go any length to look for fruit of the womb in order to feel belonged. But the bible said “And God remembered Rachael, and God harkened unto her and opened her womb. Note: God opened the womb of Rachael.
Is God speaking to a woman reading this post right now? I believe in miracles, do you? That same God is yours.
The cry of women to God is often repeated in the bible. Sarah was ninety years of age without a child. Ruth was a childless widow in the Land of Moab. Hannah was grievously burdened and cried unto God because no child had blessed her home. Elizabeth was aged and stricken in years when God visited her.

The earnestness of Rachael’s cry is not unusual especially because of her sister Leah.
“And Rachael when she saw that she bare no children, cried and said, give me children or I die”.
There are two worlds of God; The Natural and the Supernatural, The Spiritual and the Physical.
The cry for Physical children should also apply for Spiritual children. I read about one of the great leaders of all time – JOHN KNOX who cried and said, Lord, give me SCOTLAND, or I die.

The Spiritual meaning of the cry of Rachael is applied here. It applies to our cry unto God for spiritual children, for souls, for salvation of our people, for harvest, that the Lord will honor the sowing of the seed of his word, that God will give us spiritual children. “O God, give me children, or I die.” If you don’t tremble at the word of God you hear, neither will men tremble at the word you speak to them about salvation.
Apostle Paul call Timothy his son

I am writing to Timothy, my true son in the faith. May God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord give you grace, mercy, and peace. 1Timothy 1:2 (NLT)

Ofcource we know that Timothy was not Apostle Paul’s biological son but a child in Faith of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Child of GOD, you know that the reason God gave his SON Jesus Christ was for Him to have as many Children who believes in him,

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 (KJV)

For those who believes in Him, he commissioned to go fish for lost men, Men who are lost in Sin and trespasses.

Matthew 4:19 “Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people." (NIV)
Dear child of God, You are saved to help get others saved.
Right where you are now, are there Souls that are rejoicing because you brought them to Christ?
What impact are you making in the Kingdom business?
God has invested on you so you can bring him Souls in return.
You are born again to reproduce.

Jesus said to his disciples, "The harvest is great, but the workers are few. Matthew 9:37 (NLT)
It is the intense desire and cry for spiritual children that give birth to souls into the kingdom of God. Oh God give me Scotland, or I die, O God may Souls be added to us or we perish.
Is it the cry of your heart to get people in the city where you live saved?
Let’s look at the cry of Moses in the bible book of Exodus 32:32,
Yet now, if you will forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray you, out of your book which you have written.(KJV)

Out of the broken heartedness of that supplication, God for Moses sake spared the people. Since you Repented, has any one’s life been spared because of you?

The bible book of Romans 10:1 has this to say of Apostle Paul:
“Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.” (KJV)
This is called “Passion for Souls”

What are we saying dear brethren, it is the purpose of God that we be saved and get others saved. It took Jesus’ life to get you saved, so you can lead others to him.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Proverbs 11:30 (KJV)
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. (KJV)
GREAT REWARDS AWAITS US.

BE WISE. GO FOR THE LOST SOULS AND BRING THEM IN. BLESSINGS.
TILL I COME AGAIN, KEEP READING.
