Inktober is upon us. Inktober is an annual drawing competition that was started by Jake Parker. This challenge prompts uses to post original sketches every day of the month in October. You can see the prompts on inktober.com.
I think that SteemIt is an ideal platform for this type of challenge.
Sadly, #inktober was a bust on SteemIt in 2023. The few drawings for the tag failed to garner upvotes.
I am not an artist. I tried Inktober in the past but failed to produce pictures for all of the prompts.
In this last year, the art world has been wracked by the rapid development of AI. AI image generators like Night Cafe let users generate compelling images by writing a prompt.
I've been thinking about this problem. I thought about a John Henry style competition in which I draw a picture every day and then generate an AI image to see which effort generated the best image.
I asked Night Cafe to generate the image of an insignificant human facing down a robot for a competition. Realizing that humans are small compared to machines, Night cafe produced the image above.
I decided to post the human images on Verify Your Brain. VYB is a knock off of SteemIt that rewards people for human generated content.
I thought about dropping the AI images on SteemIt. I will be creating original content for both sites.
The prompt challenge asks for people to create their images in October. I will start the game tomorrow.
In the spirit of #inktober , I will be upvoting the posts for the event that take place on SteemIt and the many SteemIt knock offs.
