An explosion aboard a bus taking workers to the Dasu hydropower facility in the Upper Kohistan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa killed at least 8 people, including Chinese engineers, and injured numerous more on Wednesday.

The incident occurred about 7:30 a.m., according to Upper Kohistan Deputy Commissioner Arif Khan Yousafzai, while a coaster was transporting over 30 workers from the Barseen camp to the plant site.
