So a long while back (apparently July of 2017) I made a post about songs that I really enjoy that all featured the harmonica. As I mentioned in that article I think the harmonica is a seriously underrated instrument and it seems to be in short supply in todays music.
With that in mind I wanted to share a few more songs I really like that have at least some harmonica in them. I did purposely avoid any Dylan, the song piano man, or a few other blatantly obvious groups/songs in an attempt to shine some light on some lesser known tunes. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do :)
Clutch- Electric Worry
This is a fantastic song (and video for that matter) that came out in 2007 and has a nice harmonica solo. The rest of the Clutch songs I enjoy don't actually have any harmonica but I would still check out The Regulator if you did enjoy this one.
The Glorious Sons- Mama
I stumbled across this Canadian band when I went to a Struts concert in downtown Detroit and they were the opening act. This particular song came out in 2013 and apparently made it to number 6 on the Canadian rock radio charts. The video is a little weird though that could just be because they are Canadian, but if you want to skip to the harmonica solo its at around 2:13 in. Again, if you enjoyed this song I highly recommend checking out Sawed off Shotgun which is my favorite Glorious Sons song.
Jack Johnson- At or with me
I went with the official video because it has the guys from Lonely Island in it and that is always a good time. The harmonica isn't really featured in the song until the end but I still feel there is enough of it to qualify for this list. This song came out in 2010 and was one of the songs I liked the most off this particular album.
Well thats it for now, hope you enjoyed these songs. I'd love to see some suggestions in the comments of your favorite harmonica songs or really any music I need to check out.
