Betterlife - The Diary Game | 13 February, 2025 | "My day-long farming and crop inspection."

Assalamu Alaikum friends,
I am a person who is crazy about agriculture but in Bangladesh, economic security is very low, most of the time farmers do not get fair price for their produce, so they always think of alternatives. This time I have planted potatoes, corn and rice with my brothers. I am also looking for a job for an alternative source of income. I am coming to the village yesterday and today I will work on my agricultural land.

I started the pump for irrigation in my rice field in the morning. Today it will run all day and night for irrigation in all the fields. We use the canals of Varendra to irrigate distant lands. We will take the water from the pump to the outlet made by Varendra. It has been 2 weeks since we planted rice seedlings in this land and now it is time to apply nitrogen.

I turned on the irrigation in the land and went to our potato jockey. It is time for our potato harvest but the market price of potatoes is very low. If we sell potatoes at the current market price, our production cost will not increase. We will remove the potato plants and keep them for a few days and then if the price does not increase, we will store these potatoes. I removed the plants from a few places and dug the soil to see our potato yield. Alhamdulillah, the yield has been good. The potatoes are 75+ days old from planting to now.

After harvesting the potatoes in our potato field, we will sow almond seeds. Other farmers are sowing almond seeds in the field next to us. They themselves are sowing almond seeds by pulling the plow and jockeying. Some are sowing almond seeds in the field by plowing with cows.

I went to our corn field in the afternoon and the corn plants have grown. However, some problems have arisen. Some corn plants were affected by insects and some corn plants gave seedlings which were harmful to the corn. I picked those corn plants and brought them home for the goats.

I went to our local market at night. My elder brother is going to open a grocery store here. I went to his shop. The shop will open from tomorrow. We are decorating some and will decorate the rest tomorrow. I am finishing it today, Allah Hafez.
