Diary (07-01-2025) || "Today was the busiest and most productive day for me."

My work today begins

Assalamu Alaikum agriculture-loving friends,
My day today will be very busy in the potato field. From today, we will start the second irrigation in our potato field. Timely irrigation of agricultural crops is very important and plays a role in increasing crop production.

^{He has started working since morning to fetch water}

When my brother called me at 7 am, I also got up and freshened up. We had done the previous (1st irrigation) irrigation with someone else's diesel pump. Today too we will get the engine from him. We went to his house and took him in his van and brought the engine to the land. We set up our machine and started the process of pumping water through plastic pipes to the land.

^{Irrigation starts}

We set up the tubewell to lift the water after 9 am, pumped it, finished lifting the water, stopped the leakage of the pipe properly and started the machine, but for the first time we We failed. We found the leak better the next time, started the engine, and were able to lift the water.

^{We had to eat breakfast in the field}

We came to the field without eating in the morning. My mother sent breakfast for us in the field because we could not go home after leaving the water line. We washed our hands and feet here and had breakfast. While we were eating, my elder brother worked on irrigating the potato field.

^{I had lunch in the field during my break from work}

I didn't go home today. I'm constantly fixing the water line and irrigating the potato plants. As the afternoon passed, my brother brought me food again. I cleared the water line for him again and in the meantime, I finished my lunch.

^{Return home after today's irrigation activities by afternoon}

We will finish irrigating all the potato fields in this place by afternoon and will irrigate other fields tomorrow. Today, the engine along with all the pipes and other items will have to be taken home. I packed the plastic pipes while my brothers unpacked the engine and loaded it into the van. We loaded all the items into our van and set off for home. We will come back tomorrow to irrigate other fields.

^{Taking care of the cows in the afternoon}

Today we were busy in the potato field all day, so we couldn't take care of the cows in the cow shed. The fattening cows need to be fed medicine to overcome their loss of appetite. We entered the cow shed and fed the cows medicine. Then we took a bath and cleaned ourselves.

^{Buy plastic pipes}

We now have to go to the upazila market. We will need more plastic pipes to irrigate the potato fields tomorrow morning. We went to the market in the evening with our bikes to buy pipes. We checked the prices in two shops and bought a 13kg pipe from one shop for 230 BDT kg (6.5 steem).
