Diary Game (13-11-2024) || "Did farming all day and farmer meeting in the evening"

Winter's presence is well known today. Agrahayan month has not fallen yet but daytime temperatures are moving towards 12/13. I woke up and saw today that the sun has not risen even though it is 8 o'clock in the morning. I got up and freshened up and had breakfast. Today we don't have much work. In the morning I am walking around our village and looking at the vegetable garden. The garden has got quite a lot of gourds. Other plants have not yet produced fruit, such as barberry, beans, etc.

My mother asked me to fetch fish from our pond. I and my younger brother went to the pond at 12 noon. My nephew also went with me he is enjoying our fishing and he is also keen to go in the pond but the water in the pond is cold and he might get cold if he goes in this water. We finished fishing in no time.

When we came home after catching fish, my mother would cut the fish and cook it, we bathed the cows with grain food. My mother has not cut the fish yet, we are waiting for lunch.

My junior nephew is very fussy today he sleeps in lap but wakes up when put in bed. My sister brings him to my lap and he sleeps on my lap again. After she sleeps on my lap for about 30 minutes, I put her back to bed and she is now asleep.

We had lunch. I put some time into Steemit. My elder brother called me as I finished my work. We don't have straw for our cows. We brought 3 loads of hay with paddy and threshed it and gave it to the cows.

We have to bring home the early harvested paddy and make room for it in the house so I water the loose soil in the yard till evening. Watering stops dust from rising and the soil hardens.

Today we have a farmer meeting at our store where we will talk to farmers about soil treatment and prevention of insect attack on various crops. It is entirely sponsored by a pesticide company. Apart from dolomite lime and blessing powder, what other soil treatments can be used to remove acidity and alkalinity from our soil? What remedial measures should be taken after sowing seeds or planting seedlings.

At the end of the farmer's rally, refreshments are arranged for the farmers, after giving everyone their packets, the main attraction was the lottery. An arrangement to hold farmers to the end. The lottery had a total of 21 prizes including mango trees, various crockery items, umbrellas, spades for farmers. We finished the rally and returned home at 9 pm. Finishing up today.
