The process of cultivating rice and the labor of the farmer turns it into food.

We easily eat food made from rice or paddy, but do we know how much labor and time the farmer needs to produce this food. Today I am going to write about how much labor and time is spent in the production of this paddy.

Good seed is required for paddy or any crop production Farmers plan for this in advance. The farmer takes great care in advance to prepare the land for the seeds and ensure the germination of the seeds. After preparing the land for seeding and applying fertilizers, after waiting two to three days, the seeds are sprinkled and initially water is kept low so that rice seedlings germinate faster than paddy. Seedlings are suitable for planting within 30 days, in many cases it is up to 45 days. At this time, regular irrigation and fertilizer should be applied to the seed bed. Again, if there is excessive cold in winter, it should be covered with plastic so that the seed bed is not damaged due to excessive cold.

The land for planting rice seedlings needs to be prepared very well before it is suitable for planting seeds. The land is selected by application of organic fertilizers and tillage. Paddy seedlings are planted in the land. Phosphate, potash, urea, zinc, boron, magnesium, gypsum should be applied according to the amount before planting rice seedlings.

After the planting of rice seedlings, the water supply to the land has to be ensured always for this the farmer irrigates water from the water pump.

The first dose of urea is applied between 15 and 21 days after planting. Application of urea to seedlings and young seedlings may result in insect infestations in the paddy field, which may require insecticide sprays or granular insecticides.

The farmer's dream grows little by little with the daily care of the farmer. The last dose of urea fertilizer was given between 32 and 38 days of rice seedling age. After this, the rice fields are attacked by insects and various diseases, and timely spraying of pesticides is necessary to protect the crops.
In a paddy field, 4 to 6 sprays are required before the paddy emerges. These sprays include anthracnose, caterpillar, brown grasshopper, rice ear neck blast.

Then comes the joyous moment when the farmer harvests his paddy. Again adverse weather conditions during harvesting and threshing can damage the rice which is a threat to the farmer. Now the technology to harvest rice is faster. It takes 5 months (150 days) from seedbed to harvest.

We may buy and eat food very easily with money but a farmer has to do a lot of hard work and penance to produce this crop. We don't waste food and respect the farmer.
