What crops are grown in your region?

There are many variety of crops that are grown in this region and they include yams cassava cocoa plantain potatoes and even grain crops like corn , these are the type of crops that are mostly grown in my area which is Nigeria.

What was the average yield and market price of this crop?

A particular tree that contains cocoa pods in it can yield up to 2 bags of cocoa yearly and a particular heap which contains yam seedlings can produce more than it is being planted that is if four seedlings where planted in a heap it may grow up to 6 or seven more yam tubers.

The average cost of this crops in the market are. A bag of cocoa is around 200 to 250 thousand naira that is about 465 steem to 490 steem. Also yam tubers in my country are sold in groups and the price may vary base on the size four big tubers of yam may cost up to 6000 naira which is 14 or 15 steem.

How much did it cost to cultivate till harvest and what was the total profit from this crop?

Okay let's use cocoa as the case study here , when planting cocoa it requires you planting them on little polythene bags which is something you should look after day and night because at this stage they are still growing and need care and attention. When it is grown up, there will be need for maintenance of the crop plant to prevent it from having their own crops diseases and to also avoid it from crop pest and to control these you will need to buy cocoa insecticide and cocoa herbicide. And this vary differently in price and quality so I don't know the real cost.

But when planting cocoa till it's maturity stage you will need to have some good amount of money because if you plant them in bulk there will be bulk maintenance which will have a high cost.
Another thing is that cocoa has no total profit which means you can get more than you can expect or the price may skyrocket higher and you can make some good money by selling them.
