TUNIS – A new crisis involving Tunisair, Tunisia's state airline, and Turkey's TAV, which operates Enfidha and Monastir airports in the North African country, has revived a heated controversy over Turkish encroachment in Tunisia's economy.

Turkey's TAV has frozen Tunisair accounts after a legal decision as the Tunisian company owes the Turkish operator 29 million dinars ($10.7 million), a Tunisair syndicate official speaking for the country's main UGTT labour union Elyess Ben Miled said by phone on Thursday.
