Our observations

This article discusses the adoption of Self Sovereign Identity by the public sector around the world. The article is written by David Lucatch, CEO - Liquid Avatar Technologies Inc., a company that specializes in providing digital identity services through Saas based platform. 

They provide the identity owner a digital wallet through which the owner can manage his digital identity. They use blockchain technology to secure the data but since they provide these services through publicly listed companies in several countries we presume that they use permissioned blockchain. It is not a token based service although they use blockchain technology.
