Local animation producers in France receive incentives in the form of substantial tax credit of 25% of their spent in France and government sponsored financing from bodies such as Centre National du Cinéma et de l'Image Animée (CNC). In addition, the mandatory legal requirement for local broadcasters to plough back portion of their revenue into original animated content helps boost France's status as Europe's biggest animation producer.
