
Brazil's Economy Minister Paulo Guedes on Thursday called for quiet to confront the developing feeling of emergency, saying the administration would like to agree with administrators for a 10 billion reais ($2.05 billion) bundle to battle the spread of coronavirus.
His comments come a day after Congress toppled a presidential veto, which will see spending on social help for older and debilitated individuals cost an additional 20 billion reais ($4.2 billion) this year.
