
As the world tries to find a vaccine and treatment for COVID-19, it seems that there is no antidote in sight for the growing outbreak of coronavirus conspiracy theories, hoaxes, mask myths, and false remedies.
The phenomenon, which has largely unfolded on social media, escalated this week when US President Donald Trump retweeted a fake video about an antimalarial drug being a cure for the virus and it was revealed that the Russian intelligence is spreading false information about the health crisis through English websites.
