Was the recent SEC rejection of the proposed Bitcoin ETF the cause of the recent selloff?

As the coronavirus has  shattered stock markets worldwide, so has Bitcoin broken down.

Wasn't Bitcoin supposed to be a new safe haven asset?  It could be, but the SEC news was a big blow.
