Firstly let me applaud and congratulate the Steemit.com team who have made it possible to create communities which will be such a great leap forward for all of us.
I'm both thrilled and excited to create the Thailand community and I hope we become a community of people who share similar goals, values and passions towards everything Thai.
Our main goal is to promote content published by those based in Thailand or share a deep love for Thailand while encouraging others to become part of our amazing journey.
My greater goal for this community is to empower its members and stand in unity.
Opportunity for all and distribution of wealth.
Here we can get rewarded for our passions weather we are creating and posting original content or curating content of value.
We want to create a shift of wealth and power back to the people.
This is a place for freedom of speech.
We want an open and fair society based on diversity of opinion and voices so this is why we believe you should be able to freely voice your opinions.
Whatever connection you have with Thailand I invite you to join the Thailand community here in Steemit.com
All my hopes and dreams are with you and your success.
Dominik
Hi, @dominikboecker. I just read your post and find your project interesting but I also have to inform you that we have an official Thai community with a Curie account dedicated to Thai content, a team @thaiteam and much more... I founded the community 2 and half years ago and even at the moment many people are inactive (mostly due to low Steem price) we are still working on a daily basis, and organize contest every week for more than 2 years. From what I understand your idea is to do a community speaking about Thailand in English when our community is 100% in Thai language. So, there is no problem with us and we will be happy to help if we can. The only thing I would like to mention is to not use the #thai tag because it is the tag we are using for 2 and half years that represent Thai language contents and most English posts about Thailand use the tag #thailand so it is easy to organize the two languages and our curators don't have to search in the middle of many tags. We also use #thaicommunity for the newly created function "Communities" where we are registered as Thai Community. You can reach us if you need more information. Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out @ricko66 and I understand and appreciate your message. It's a good thing I simply called the community 'Thailand' and that will be used with tagging. And indeed correct, the content could only be in english language so as you mentioned it's easier to organize and curate. If you have any ideas how we can help each other or work together in any way then let me know. Thanks.

The "Thailand" tag already exists but it does not belong to any community yet and it is quite famous, so the best is to use it and make something of it. As you are starting you must create a graphic identity for your community, logo banner etc... after you have to reach out to some people that use this tag in the past and make them subscribe and post in the community, I often post about Thailand in English. You have to write in the description that the community is talking about Thailand in English
