What is meant by professional skills?
Professional skills are a group of things of the same kind that belong together that you acquire and improve overtime which enable you to perform your job very well.
Professional skills is also a relaxed manner or without hardship skills easily transferred from one job to another.
What to do to increase professional skills?
This is a choice for an individual if he or she want to excel higher in professional skills and abilities associated with considerable prominence and help build a good character by action.
Let me just mention few ways I increase my professional skills.
1.I learn from others physically and through reading books different ways to communicate effectively to improve professionally.
2.I have taken training courses on how to engage with someone professionally by focusing on the positive.
3.I have a mentor that has mentored me on leadership, problem solving and time management as a professional.
4.I have track my progress and also further my education because knowledge is power which involves developing self to date by practicing integrity, respect and confidence on any given tasks etc.
Also I have talked to people who knows me well outside of work for a different perspective and write down lists of strengths and areas I like to improve more on.
What professional skills are in high demand in your country?
There are so many professional skills in Nigeria my country let me just mention few of them:
1.Financial and people management Skills
2.Leadership Skills
3.Communication Skills
4.Technology Skills
5.Marketing and Sales Skills
6.Programming and software development skills etc. But the one in highly demand is Marketing and Sales Skills
Marketing and Sales skills because it has brought so many aid to the nation by bringing different products from their farm to sell to reduce hunger and make money.
Anything one brings on the table will move in the market of Nigeria. Either online or physical, people are hungry because of the state of economy.
