1. Saluang This musical instrument comes from West Sumatra. This musical instrument is made of thin bamboo or bamboo gutters. Talang bamboo is believed to produce a better and melodious sound. This traditional Indonesian musical instrument was often used when women were weaving cloth and its name was taken from the weaving activity. 4. Dambus Guitar This musical instrument comes from Bangka Belitung. The dambus guitar is shaped like a pumpkin cut in half. In the belly of the dambus guitar, an empty hole is given and used as a resonance chamber. The hole will be covered with monkey or deer skin.
