Week 1 of live Installation - Transcendence by Gwen Kassenaar and danced by me

Hi Dance and Music Community,

London is opening Up again and luckily I was able to do a few Performances already! Last week was the first week of live Performance art of Gwendolyn Kassenaar's Exlab residency: Transcendence, commissioned by Outside the zone.

The first week of the residency was just art. The way it worked was one day a week there was a live installation, and the rest of the week the artwork created was exhibited in the window.

This is a picture of Gwen setting up her side of the window. It required a lot of thought, as there was only one powerpoint and she needed her pastels, laptop and two streaming cameras for the live stream.

On the days the installation was live we performed about 75 minutes, Gwen drawing live and I was dancing.

I think it is really cool to do Public art. People that walk by don't expect it and react completely different than they would in a theatre.
