What do you understand by Agricultural Entrepreneurship

Agricultural entrepreneurship also called agripreneurship is seen as starting and investing in business that are related to agriculture and this include farming, agricultural processing of goods,and even marketing. This agricultural entrepreneurs are innovative and they take high risks just to create a successful business out of agriculture.

Discuss on the Activities of an Agricultural Entrepreneur

1 Farming and productivity
They rear animals and grow crops either for food or for other products. Also they use modern farming equipment to increase efficiency and reduce cost.

2 They add value to products
They are capable of creating products from raw materials like milk to cheese. And this helps to add value to the products to make more profitable income.

3 Marketing and sales
Agricultural entrepreneurs help the farmers to advertise and help them to sell their agric products through online or markets. And they also link up the farmers to restaurants, grocery stores and other companies that will need their agricultural products.

4 Innovation and use of technology in farming

The entrepreneurs bring to agriculture technology that will aid them to farm easily and take care of their crops without stress. Also they bring technological equipment like drones to help check crops from the Skyview, they bring in things like tractor and caterpillars to help in grading and planting the farmland.

Challenges faced by agricultural entrepreneurs

Climate

This is one of the problems which agricultural entrepreneurs face and it may lead to loss in their investment on a particular crop. Example if an entrepreneur invest money on corn and while the corns are growing suddenly drought struck the area which the crops are planted, the corns will die and will lead to loss in investment.

Market

The market can be a great challenge to the entrepreneurs especially when the crops which they will like to sell are in higher price that that of the market they may face challenges trying to sell them and if they do not sell them on time they may loose the worth of the product or they may end up spoiling.

Benefits which agricultural entrepreneurs see in agriculture

Agricultural entrepreneurs hardly loss money when they invest them on multiple crops and animals farming because if a particular crop price drops in the market another will be up so they will be recovery where there is losses .

So agricultural entrepreneurs are one of the most successful people in entrepreneurship because of the benefits they see and they get less problems and losses.
