Snail farming can be considered as bi-product of agriculture.
- It is bi-product because snails eats crops, crops are as a food for them. They also eat tree leaves and other small plants. Snails also live on these agriculture and other plants, these are as a habitat for them, they build-up their family and produces new snails. Plants are home for snails, they also take camouflage on plants, they hide themselves from predators on these plants.
"What, Why snails farming"
Snails farming is production of snails, providing natural and artificial habitat to snails to grow and to produce more snails than normally. Providing better conditions and stability to create species of snails, breeding environment, water and food for better output. Snail farming can be practiced in a small and large places, they are environmental friendly and doesn't harm the environment and produces a better outcome.
Snails are enrich in proteins, they are used in many products and benefits you economically.
Economic:
They are enrich in proteins; they are used in protein products. Most of them are included in proteins which are used in gym.
Their slime is used in products; especially for skincare products and other things.
Health Benefits:
Contains a lot of proteins, it also contains calcium and vitamins.
How to do snail farming
1: Planning: Researching and planning about the system. Getting ideas and discussing with experts about the farming initialization.
2: Site/Area selection: Selecting place according to the condition in which snails can breed and live; like humid place, soil, food, water availability and protection.
3: Harvest: Collecting snails when they are mature, leaving some of them for further breeding. Taking care and gently collecting to avoid damage of the shells.
