Today I am writing about an interesting Steemit Engagement Challenge S20 - W2: which is all time my favourite topic “How to cultivate a paddy""". So, in this post I am going to share my point of view about this topic.
What is the method of rice seedbed preparation and what steps are taken in preparing the soil for rice cultivation |

For sowing rice seeds, first the beds are prepared for which clods of soil are made which are made by making big clods of soil around the fields so that when the fields are filled with water for watering, that water does not go out of the fields and with the help of those clods, the water remains filled in the fields and keeps providing moisture to the soil. It is very important to prepare the soil before sowing rice seeds. It is very important to prepare the soil at least 2 days in advance.
If possible, it is more beneficial to use clay soil for rice cultivation, this gives a good crop and it is also important to keep in mind that after providing moisture to the soil before sowing the seeds, rice husk should be mixed in the soil, so the crop yield is very good
What is the importance of planting rice seeds at the right time? |

Similarity: The right time for sowing rice seeds is April and May, due to the moisture provided before sowing the seeds in the rice fields, the soil easily catches the seeds and after that, with the arrival of the rainy season, the crop yield starts getting good and the moisture provided by the fields is well caught by the seeds, but while sowing the seeds, special care should be taken that about 2 to 3 inches of water should be filled in the fields for a month and a quarter, due to this the moisture in the fields remains intact and the chances of the crop being good increase.
How is regular irrigation and fertilizer applied after sowing rice seeds? |

Polymer control fertilizer is the best fertilizer for rice crop and these fertilizers should be used only when rice plants grow a little and bloom because rice crop is grown in lowlands and moisture, so from time to time it should also be taken care of whether the fields are filled with water in proper quantity or not. And never use pesticides or spray for rice crop,
this has very bad result for crops and the moisture and freshness of the fields is lost. Irrigation should also be taken care of from time to time, the easiest and simplest way of irrigation in rice cultivation is by sprinkler irrigation, in this the need of laborers for irrigation is very less and the crop gets irrigation easily.
What are the major pests and diseases of rice crops, and how can they be controlled? |

The main pests that affect the rice crop are cutworm, rice worm, and locust etc. which damage the rice crops very fast. To protect against these, pesticides should be sprayed on the crops from time to time. The damage to the crops can be easily eliminated by using pesticides and biocontrol devices.
For this, the government provides free advice and training to the farmers from time to time and the farmer who grows the crop is already prepared for all these things and prays to God for a good crop.
What are the next steps after harvesting the paddy and what are the steps to be taken to preserve the paddy |

After harvesting the paddy, first of all the harvested paddy should be dried in the sun and after that it is beaten to get rice out of it. After harvesting the paddy, it should be kept in mind that the paddy should not be dried in too much quantity and its threshing should also not be done very vigorously, otherwise the rice grains will break and become useless.
For this, a skilled person is needed who is fully skilled in this work, only then rice can be easily taken out from the paddy and the hard work done by the farmer can be successful.
